Gambling during the holidays

Depends on the mindset and schedule of the person, left for me i spent the festive period with my extended family mostly so i didn't get much time to follow up my favourite sports which is football, i didn't even have a chance to bet on my favourite team Chelsea cause i was often in the kitchen helping to make meals for the family, however their are people who are opportuned during that period to relax while watching football and betting on their favourite teams.

Some people were saying that they do not gamble because they want to enjoy holidays etc makes me wonder if people treat gambling as a job and they want to take a break once we are in a holiday season.   

Since gambling is for enjoyment, I prefer to gamble during the holidays too because there is no other tension or work and gambling in an online casino is a fun activity. Yes, I don't bet during those days as it is hard to follow the matches due to engagement with families and friends but casino games are best enjoyed during those times.

I am the one who does not play during long holidays because I simply do not have enough time. In December I only watched the boxing match Usyk vs. Fury and that's it. In the Christmas and New Year's bustle there is simply not enough time because you need to devote time to loved ones and see everyone and prepare gifts for many, and this is finances. But after the holidays I can already relax and play when I have time.

This is what i have done too on which on the moment that we are on holiday season then it will be that recommended that you should be spending up your time with your loved ones because this is a season on which it is really that only happening once a year and spending up your precious time with your family or loved ones will really be that much more preferred rather than on making yourself having that kind of approach on putting up more focus into gambling rather than with your family. It is that not bit not right on giving out some prioritization into gambling than with your family because if you do have this kind of action then this do shows up on how addicted you are with gambling. The money that I can afford to lose is much less on holidays, because I need to buy gifts for my family and children. But this does not mean that I will completely give up the game, of course I will want to play and this is a great time for it. But I will consciously control myself and bet less than usual, because I do not want it to completely ruin my mood when I lose. They are on their 50s as of now and what they did on holiday? They booked a hotel room and a Hotel and casino and spend their holidays there.

Kids are never a problem when someone wants to gamble on holidays. They are on a holiday to and do things they usually dont do on regular days. Book a hotel, got to gamble in the evening, the kids can stay in the room and enjoy their gadgets without parents bothering them with "you will spoil your eyes", "you are watching dumb context", "have you dont your homework".

Never in my entire life my own kid, friends kids, godson and goddaughter cause any problems, it was never a burden to spend time with them. Just make them busy, find or figure out something that will be interesting for them, and you can do whatever you want on your own.

I do that. As long as they love what they are playing on their phones they will behave. But sometimes it does worry me when they are in front of that phone for almost the whole day. They become lazy brats and it gets on my nerves sometimes.
During the holidays though it is different, I cannot gamble because we always want to go out and when I am out, I don't use my phone and just spend time with them. I think that's what the OP is trying to point out. We will always have our time to play especially at night when the kids are too damn tired to get up. That's when I try to sneak a bit of gambling until I also fall asleep. 

Yeap, that is what OP pointed out, but the guy I quoted, as I understand, prefer to be child-free, because he or she does not want to get involved into parenting and all that kind of things. Better enjoy time for himself, than dedicate it to kids. Better be child-free, because it will give more free time for himself, give free time for gambling. Absurd opinion imho.

In this case, there are two types of gamblers. One type of gamblers who get the opportunity to bet every day. Especially those who run their own business, if they gamble along with their business, then there should be no problem. For them, it is necessary to stop gambling on holidays. Everyone should spend some time with their family, so that they can have some entertainment and also enjoy other family activities. You just remind me of how my holiday turned out. There was no time to gamble because it was filled with activities. I had planned to try new games this season but there was no time to do that. It was from one occasion to another and there was always much to eat and drink. By the time you get home, you are tired and want to rest. The next day there might be a community meeting that you must attend. For me, I will be able to enjoy gambling if I travel out of my area for holidays.

For a sport bettor isn't it the same be holiday season or not, as the games, or better most games from different sports like Soccer, NBA, NFL, Tenniss and other type usually are played during weekends. So for a sport bettor there is no real difference I think while the difference can be for slot players who tend to play slow with the minimum bet and for them gambling during the holidays gives them much more time to play than they have normally as during normal times they have to go to their daily jobs and this leaves not that much time to gamble for slot players. There is nothing special about gambling bud, atleast for me, this is the reality, there is nothing special about gambling that makes it worthy to be given any special kind of treatment during a holiday, if is simply an activity I take part in when ever I feel like, either to have fun, or maybe chase some profit if that is what I desire.

I gamble anytime I feel like, and the holiday season is not an exception, I can gamble if I have funds prepared for it, and I can not gamble if there is no fund prepared for gambling.
Those who may attach some special kind of treatment to gambling during festive periods are those treat or take gambling as a job and source of income..

Time should be given to the family on those days so that the family can get their love from you. But if someone spends that time elsewhere without giving it to the family, then the family will not be happy with him. Which can affect his personal life. That's true, but when we are interested in gambling in sportsbook especially with certain sports, of course every week or even every day we always monitor the development of several clubs that will be used as a bet in the match that will take place so I think in this case research is good but roughly we already know which matches we will do for betting,

For example in this case I am interested in soccer and almost every week I watch matches in several leagues although it may be the biggest only La Liga, EPL and Champions League. Well I think it's just depends on were you are or the activity you engage your self. However, I strongly believe that most gamblers would prefer to gamble on holidays season, because that's the time they normally have chance to do proper research. Of course as a gambler if you don't have a enough time for yourself you can decide to take a break, why people that have a enough time can also gamble and have fun, after all is part of the celebration.
