I started following Desci right from the time cz announced that he was going to go deep on Decentralized science shortly after he was released from prison. This is why it wasn't to surprising to see Bio protocol do well upon its listing. The Desci space is still super young.

There's no clear framework for now.

but the thing is, we must not forget that the main motivation as to why people willing to invest into these project and actually put attention to it is because the financial opportunity.

All that is truly decentralized would outperform the centralized at least in credibility and stability of what they do.

But will all other concepts that come before this one expect other developers to exploit this for profit, There will be fake projects and duplicates of the real ones for profit, so there's still risk, and we need to be very careful to check the legitimacy of projects that describe themselves as DeSci.

DeSci isn't really a new thing even if the acronym is. People tried to fund all sorts of science-based scams back in 2017, because they thought everything needs a blockchain and that would somehow make revenue. So that idea is recycled now, just like all the scams, because there's just too much dumb and new money to ignore.

But yeah, people who would listen to Elon speaking about blockchain tech is definitely good target for scamming.

If it was only attention, it is possible because that project right there must be among those few projects (if not the first) that are early to adopt it. It is normal for a hype to fade later on but as long as the project had made a history, it will not be forgotten easily. Haven't heard of that decentralized infrastructure yet but maybe they didn't hype it that much? I think it is better to focus on it first before moving on. Or maybe they realized that it wasn't really catchy for the public, as you know most of the creators are only after the money (as you said there).

Well, coming from a science background I can tell you there is no problem with finding investors as long as you are not picky about what you want to research. But when you want someone to fund your own original research, it is a huge hassle to find the right investor who will be interested. Because not all research is 'profitable' and obviously the investors want to see a return on their investment. It's more of a matter of convincing investors to invest in your research.

I do not think the solution is decentralized nor has anything to do with blockchain.

Also you fell for a scam AI video. Elon Musk is not promoting anything DeSci.
