Is buying Bitcoin and holding a Good Retirement plan?

This topic recently came through my mind and I decided to share.
We do know how Bitcoin has experienced tremendous prowess, over the past few years.
And how it has been like a pinnacle of hope to many, those who invested long ago have witnessed a more than 200% growth and more since it's inception.
My idea is , since one is coming from a country like mine where there's hardly any good retirement plan for those who plan on retiring, then is it really ideal to buy Bitcoin as an asset and hold for Good returns despite it's volatility.
Although it might take time to witness a tremendous return.
But is this really an ideal idea?

I cannot guarantee that investing in bitcoin for your retirement planning will be 100% successful considering that this asset is very volatile. I admit that for long-term investment bitcoin can be a good choice but we will not know what will happen in the future, to reduce the risk ideally if your current finances allow you to invest in various types, you can divide it into several other types of investments, such as property, stocks, gold and land so that your funds are not 100% focused on bitcoin alone. In addition, setting aside some for emergency funds is also no less important.

It is not a bad idea to use bitcoin as a retirement plan, but you should also diversify your funds into other assets and investments, i don't think it is prolly a good idea to hodl bitcoin as your only retirement plan. That being said, i have a plan of hodling bitcoin for a very long time, so yes i can call it one of my retirement plans.

Bitcoin isn't just a good retirement plan for people in countries without any good retirement plan but for all people irrespective of the country that you're from because when you look at the return in investment in both options, Bitcoin outweigh others.

Bitcoin also have other pros than the other retirement plans. The others are centralized and can be jeopardize but Bitcoin can't, especially when you're not relying on a third party for protection or storage of your Bitcoin but doing everything yourself as it was originally intended. Don't presume that it'll take more time to witness tremendous growth because it mightn't when you're investing by DCA and not just buying whenever you feel like without being consistent with the purchasing capital.

Actually I think that's a good idea but when doing that is also advisable to make other investment aside from bitcoin investment so as to enable you hold on to your bitcoin for long term. because if you don't have any other business I mean any other source of income aside from your bitcoin investment definitely is going to affect you, because when you need money to pay for your bills you will still need to sell some of your bitcoin before you could get the money to clear the bills. even if you don't want to make other investment but at least try to set an emergency fund so that should incase of any emergency you will just make use of the emergency fund and still leave your bitcoin untouched, I think this is the only way in which one can succeed with that idea.

Remember we are talking about retirement plan here, and retirement comes at the later part of someone's life, i don't think it is wise to have bitcoin as your only investment when you are at your retirement age. It is imperative to also have assets that are not so volatile and risky, even if they do not give ROI like bitcoin, you still need them for "safety".

Making use of bitcoin as a retirement plan is not a bad idea, but you should have knowledge about bitcoin first before investing so that you won’t end up losing your investment after putting your money in bitcoin. Also you should make sure you don’t invest all your money in bitcoin, always make sure you have a back up plan, invest what you know it’s not really going to affect you Incase if you lose your money. Also I will recommend you hold for a long time, holding bitcoin for few months or a year might not really be so profitable, if you are not careful, you might end up selling at loss.

Bitcoin can be a good long-term asset, but its risky because of its volatility. If you're thinking about it for retirement, dont rely on it completely diversify with other investment and only invest what you can afford to lose.
