1. Greenland remains in Denmark after negotiations which will include increased funding.
2. Greenland signs a treaty with NATO never to allow China or Russia to build military base in that land.
3. The people of Greenland will be allowed to vote if they want to be part of the US or remain in Denmark.
4. The US and Denmark agree to be in control of the territory.

I think the United States is in a position to provide security and financial resources to the people of Greenland that can't be matched by any other suitor.  I think if Donald Trump wants to make Greenland a US territory, it is likely that is what will happen.  With Canadian politicians talking about stopping the flow of rare earth metals to the United States as a result of tariffs, it seems like this is a no-brainer for the United States to make this purchase.

One thing is claiming the anti-American sentiment around the world has increased and people in south American and other continents are not happy with the geopolitical situation of the USA and it's allies, but it is a completely different thing to say there are isolated from the rest of the world and they do not longer have strong allies and people willing to cooperate with them.
There have been times in which the government of the USA has been highly unpopular, even among their own people and yet, that has not crippled it from carrying out their plans.
If their plan is trying to take over Greenland, then Trump will at least to try to do it in the midterm, whether the people of Greenland like it or not. It is about natural resources of Greenland, which are important to developing electrical vehicles

I am on the side of the people of Greenland to choose which power they want to be subordinate to. I have not heard that the people of Greenland want to change their policy and they seem to be settled with Denmark. If there should be an election or a referendum, it should be based on the will of the people and not at the request of America.

It will be a crazy adventure and may cause a world war between yesterday's friends. It will be a losing war for both sides because the beneficiary is the opposing alliance (China).

Trump has plenty of leverage before he ever thinks about occupying Greenland by force. He will likely pressure it economically and try to push the people to demand a referendum.

It is a really interesting theory. But is it possible to establish unions like this? I imagine that the plan requires more preparations from all member countries and not only based on the desire of the United States, which acts only according to its interests. Today I found in the media news that both Mexico and Canada have submitted to Trump's demands regarding border security by sending each of them 10,000 additional soldiers to secure the border with the United States as part of the plan to combat drug trafficking and illegal immigration. In return, the US will give them a one-month grace period to decide after that whether to continue imposing 25% additional fees on the exports of those countries to the US.
