The Deep Depression Among Democrat Voters is About to Accelerate

...Liberals actually hold an ever-present variety of catastrophic viewpoints which render them unable to feel optimistic or even resilient about the future. And if you’re among them but you don’t agree with their dour view of the world, they seek to shun you. Disagreement and dissension within the ranks among Liberals is an unvoiced, unarticulated faux pas. This stifling conformity, if subtle or even fleeting, adds to their malaise.

The Sky is Falling

Since the November election, it is becoming apparent that the brunt of those on the Left regard the re-ascension of Donald Trump as the beginning of the end of the world, if not merely the end of America. No kidding....

...In his run up to the 2025 inauguration, photos of Donald Trump holding gala events at Mar-a-Lago and entertaining foreign dignitaries, members of Congress, cabinet nominees, and the world’s most influential individuals, Conservatives everywhere became ecstatic. Concurrently such activities helped to crush any remaining positive feelings of those on the Left.

Doing What They Do Best

Lefties are now engaging in the only activity at which they actually display some talent, which is to offer resistance. They are ready to besmirch the character and credentials of any Trump appointee. They’re eager to block any legislation, executive order, program, or policy – independent of its validity – issued or supported by the Trump Administration.

Possible Topics For Discussion:
Code:
* Do you tend to feel much happier when ignoring politics and current events?
* Are you "Liberal" and considering yourself a happy person or generally sad?
* Are you a "Conservative" and feeling "ecstatic" about the future?

To be honest, there is plenty to besmirch. The Senate questioning of Tulsi Gabbard has been a joke. You have the one person who is going to be  the link between the POTUS and a vast array of agencies saying that whatever she said in the past is irrelevant, that they have to look at the future.

And this is her argument in a session that is basically examining her past to see if she is fit for office. No cognitive dissonance on this.

On top, she was asked if Snowden was a traitor several times and she was absolutely unable to say "YES", she merely stated the obvious which is "Snowden broke the law".

One thing is for sure, this one will do anything to progress her carreer.

Tulsi is right on the good side. She knows what goes on in the military better than almost anyone.

People who like the freedom to get knowledge that Snowden did, would like to see him become the right hand man under Tulsi. Let's get more of and more like Tulsi... so the sky keeps falling for the evil, wicked Dems and RINO's.

I don't blame them, Donald Trump has much relevance within and outside of the United States, and before he even taking office he started to threaten commercial and military allies with tariffs and even taking over some of their territory. It is a big deal for a president to do such things.
A democrat and establishment president with have never done something like hinting to use military force to take over Greenland, or even do something as ridiculous like try to rename the gulf of Mexico for no apparent reason.
The sky is indeed falling for many people in the United States, who wanted to have a normal presidency and not to put in office the first felon president of the history of the United States.
That is a country with such talented and able people which do not need a celebrity like Trump to take power, in my opinion.

Yeap... the US chooses Trump and the world has to put up with him. But in the end, the noise making machine is very funny and glorious as long as you have a job and you can pay your basic supplies. But if the inflation really kicks in and the world starts de-coupling from "the problem" and working closer with China, the long term will be anything but a joke.

Isn't what you described already happening? Trading oil exclusively in USD is no longer a reality, inflation stats are not telling the truth, and China has stronger relationships with many parts of the world.

Yes and no. The majority of the world trade including oil is by far in USD and some in Euros,... Remimbi is just a little tiny bit for now.

It is a trend, China is growing and may eventually catch up on the US GDP, but I do not clearly see that pushing publicly your allies and countries that have better links with US improves that.

There are many ways of doing diplomacy, but TweteeX does not look like the right tool. I do understand that Trump wants to make every simple thing look like very big, but at the same time it makes the leaders of other countries have to stand up to him. Very few leaders would survive a complete yield to a TweeteXd request.

For example, the collaboration of Mexico would have resulted more or less similar if done in a discreet manner, but it would not serve the marketing machine of the POTUS. It would have been easier to have the embassador to Mexico speaking with the Mexican govmnt.

To be honest both Trudeau and Sheinbaum have been quite sensible in their approaches. US got what the POTUS wanted and Mexico has at least some written general agreement on the US controlling the weapons supplied from them to the cartels.

Trudeau knows well that the US and Canadian economies are well interlinked. Canada is in large part a commodities producer and if it does not sell it here, it will sell there. Their industrial production is not huge either.

I think that the deals with Canada are not going to yield any significative improvement, but in the mid time they will harm both sides.
