No. I'm not testing the monad Testnet yet (might change in future). Since there are almost no monad representatives on the forum, it would be hard fo provide a viable solution.

I suggest you head over the the monad discord server and seek help over there. Moreover, the error you posted about just indicated that the network is busy since almost everyone is trying to get it now hence creating a bottleneck.

My suggestion is that you wait it out and try again later.

Everyone experiences the same thing if you try to claim their tokens from the official faucet^[1]. I heard that we can get Monad tokens from the bridge through some platforms, it requires Sepolia which we will convert to Ethereum Monad then we move that Ethereum Monad to Monad. But I haven't gotten any further information.

it means they got surge of request to their faucet and they decided to pause it temporarily.

as the message implied, just try again in the future when faucet already open again, it was massive though even in twitter and everybody is trying to get into their testnet hoping for future reward some even selling the testnet token which is pretty ridiculous and maybe the reason why the faucet is paused.

but as the network name itself implies, it's testnet, which means currently in testing phase, expect many error like this to happen.

I'm sure @Astonishamoot wants to get testnet tokens to try out many DApps in the Monad ecosystem, while the site you provided only gives 0.01 $MON per day, which is simply not enough to even make NFT transactions in the Monad ecosystem. The $MON they're able to provide is only 1/100 of the native site for Monad faucets.

Monad is having issues with their faucet, luckily I already stocked up on the faucet launch day, ok, good luck to all of us here .

I think the problem is from the team, they might have disabled it due to traffic as many people are trying as much as they can to access the testnet as soon as possible in order not to be late.

There are other alternatives where you can get the faucet;
You can bridge your testnet ETH to Monad, and you can also use telegram bot to claim 0.02 mon daily which I don’t think will be enough for you to run the airdrop activities but can help you to be used as gas fee to swap your Eth to Mon.

I confirm that they probably have had some problems, I claimed the testnet tokens but only received 0.05 Monad, which are useless to perform any activities and participate to the airdrop. I guess I moved too late...

Does anyone have any other project/airdrop to suggest?

as from my understanding you can easily claim more monad if you hold 0.01 ETH in mainnet, but for the freebie 0.05 is the best they can do.
there are also sets of platform that offers faucet as well with certain requirements which might or might not be stricter than the official faucet requiring.
so far I've seen OKX and some exchanges giving out testnet token as well. or if you have ETH sepolia simply bridge it to monad and swap.

It looks like the faucet is overloaded due to high demand. i'd suggest waiting a bit and trying again later or checking monad's official channels for updates. Sometimes, community members also share testnet tokens so that might be another option to explore.

The faucet of Monad testnet gets massively farmed by the farmers. They farmed it with massive amounts of account, then they sell it for real money, though this potentially linked to the sybil activity. 

It's so fucking hard just to get 1 Mon tesnet to be used for swapping fees. The better if you can join in discords of some Monad's eco, then try your luck by doing faucet in their discord.

Massive amounts of people aer farming Monad tesnet with the hope they can get airdrop.

I've seen this happen before when testnets get a lot of traffic. It might help to check their discord or twitter for updates on when the faucet will be back online

Yes, some naughty users take advantage of this moment for personal gain, trying to get faucets on a large scale but for free, after which they will sell to other users who have difficulty getting faucets.

On the one hand, the overhype of the Monad testnet caused a very high surge in demand, even the official website was often down due to the large number of users accessing the faucet.

It looks like the faucet is temporarily down due to demand. Sometimes, testnet projects distribute tokens through community events, maybe checking their social channels could help.

This often happens when a project starts getting attention. If it stays on pause for too long, it might help to contact the Monad team or check if manual distributions are available.

This probably happens when a bunch of us ask for tokens at the same time. I'll keep hitting refresh now and then but if it doesn't stop, I guess they might need to toss more tokens into the faucet!

With the faucet off, I'm thinking about popping into Monad group to see if anyone's got extra testnet tokens to share. I know some projects let people send them straight to each other.
