Ripple and Solana developers are from United States. That makes me thought and concluded that likely Cardano developers are from United States. I did not make findings about it yet.

Ethereum is added because it is the second highest coin in marketcap and the first altcoin in marketcap.

Trump's new policy to include alts as part of reserve is the stupidest policy i have ever seen. Many US citizens were voting Trump caused by he promised he was only adding Bitcoin to the US treasury. However. things changed when Trump was starting to acquiring some US based coins such as Ripple or ADA.

He added those US tokens to the his portfolios, and his motive is clear. He is willing to pump his bag by sacrificing tax payer's money to pump his bag and crypto bros. That's is something that cna't be accepted.

do politician ever keep to there word? if not for the massive expectation from the bitcoin community that blinded people from knowing that trump is just a regular politician that is ready to do anything to get his ass back to the white house, it was all showing that after the election things was bound to change.

Elon Musk play a key role in the existing occurrence of Dogecoin. We know the history of Dogecoin in crypto. One of these numerous project that have skyrocket to the moon and also dump heavily, it's such a matter of time to see this project leaning to opening path, aiming to stay in the trends. The president of the United States, Donald Trump is a big fan of cryptocurrency. He's one of these anonymous whales in the space, he ensured he's grabbing bigger wins during his distinct existence in the space. We could remember vividly, how Elon Musk was active in Trump presidential campaign, he was by his side through the tougher times even when he was slighted targeted by snipers, he scale through all of this scenes.

I am 100% sure that we won't have anything outside of ETH at the best case. There is a debate to be made about XRP Maybe, because it's an American company but that's it. We are going to see straight up Bitcoin first, that has to be the most important part and if we can have that, then the rest will be easier and we won't have that much trouble to begin with, we are going to end up with a good result and won't have that much issues at all.

I know that people end up with some issues for the long term, but in the end we should not be really considering this as something that would be all that easily acceptable to have alts in us strategic reserve. I bet Trump would try to put some of his own memecoins into it, just because he is a egotistical crazy dude, but that's about it.

Upon more research, I found that ADA was founded by Charles Hoskinson who is American. Is it only a coincidence that the biggest coins in terms of marketcap are also ones developed from the United States? Or was Trump very intentional in his decisions? I guess he really is serious about making USA the well known country when it comes to crypto. Now they need to just impose very crypto friendly laws and their country would be the most sought out after country by crypto developers and investors alike.

Ethereum is the closest to bitcoin albeit with a big gap so it makes sense. It would be even more confusing if ethereum wasn't included but other altcoins was.

It's not only based on market cap but I think he had checked the community of it. Or, maybe that's the sole reason why they were added, we don't know. He's probably has got some consultants with that because I don't believe that he's got personal knowledge about the market or if he does, it's just minimal.

Because if he had asked some thoughts of Elon or probably he really did, Doge should be added there because it has still a strong community. But if it's not added then maybe there is a chance that soon it might be.

FYI, Bitcoin community is now has changed their mind over trump's new policy. The decision to create shitcoin reserve is a mind-blogging idea, and totally messed up. It will also give impact the USD's stability as well.

only trump knows the reason but if you look at his defi and any address that's connected to his project, recognized by him, they hold the asset that you mentioned.
also, his good sentiment toward US coin also contribute to these coin being selected as part of strategic crypto reserve, if I remember correctly Cardano founder also working closely with lawmakers which might increase legitimacy of cardano.

I don't see this move different from our investment strategies of diversifying our incomes to other assets.
I think that is a formidable measure of expanding the crypto ecosystem.
Likely to say for the government as US holding it economy reserve just on bitcoin might feature
1* Biased in the crypto space (monopoly insight)
2* Missing out when the alt coin market is doing well (Fomo)
3* Inspiring lack of trusts on the alt coins.
4*  Economy crisis in the crypto space.
As for why they did not list Doge coin is what I am not idea of but though I think it is all being politicized probably on strategic reviews to empower the coin in a different dimension since it a hyping meme .

Most likely, the goal is to make people believe that altcoins also have value and that Bitcoin isn’t the only option in the market. Another reason could be that since Trump Coin is an altcoin, this move might help boost its growth in the future. And since he has the power to hype the market anytime, it almost guarantees that his coin will remain profitable, at least until his term is over.

Regardless of where the reserve is coming from, the headline is what sticks in people's minds. At first, he only announced a list of altcoins, which made people wonder why Bitcoin wasn’t included. Then, almost an hour later, Trump clarified that Bitcoin was also part of the reserve.

I’m thinking the reason altcoins were included is to support certain U.S.-based crypto projects. There are quite a few, right? Especially USDC stablecoins, Ripple, and Solana, whose founders are American.

The market potential, its standing in the market, and, of course, recommendation—I believe these are just some of the criteria—was pleasantly surprised not to see Doge, but I still hold that it will eventually include, as we all know, that Doge is Elon's favorite coin.
There must be a big reason for Trump and his advisers why Doge will not be included, or they make it at the last minute so it will not cause a big hype in the market. We never know until we see the final list of altcoins that will be included in the US reserve.

Doge will probably be added later. Or it could be that Elon is done manipulating it and not need Doge manipulation anymore because he has tons of it.

The only given reason by some people who are also speculating for the reason was that those altcoins are created by US developers that's why Trump chose them. Except ETH which I think because its a top coin already.

The surprises were shitcoins like ADA and XRP because in all my time in crypto, I haven't actually heard of anybody using any of those chains. Cardano has been trying to bring smart contracts for years which is something ETH did in 2015 and all these new chains have that functionality out of the box.

Big surprises there.

To me he has the backup plan of influencing these tokens for his benefits and his team members. I'm just wondering why ADA was added also, and I can say that, this coin has not been doing pretty well in the market as they haven't been able to meet their target into developing fully of their roadmap.

Maybe Doge wasn't included due to misunderstanding between the Trump team and Elon Musk, or maybe their target would not be met.

They said that they were only mentioned because they were the first top 5 coins. I am not sure that altcoins will be added to the reserves at least for now. If they had already added altcoins to the reserves, different coins could have been mentioned, for now it seems early to me, first bitcoin should be included in the reserves and this should be done with a law on paper, then the way will be opened for altcoins.
