At the end of the first iteration, 81 users from the 4 forums have claimed their tokens:

Full Details:

1. DAO Without Permanent Founders
Our DAO uniquely starts without founders. Initial facilitators will launch it and transfer complete governance to the community upon reaching a critical mass of 5,000 active participants. Everyone involved early has the historic opportunity to become a true founding member.

2. Token and Blockchain Agnosticism
Initial tokens will launch on Arbitrum for technical reasons, but our DAO transcends blockchain boundaries, prioritizing community above technology.

3. Right to Fork
We guarantee the perpetual right to fork. This ensures accountability, transparency, and prevents any misuse of centralized power, giving our community ultimate autonomy.

4. Fair and Transparent Token Distribution
Our initial token distribution rewards genuine community participation:
  • Verifiable participation and merits earned through BitcoinTalk, Reddit, X (formerly Twitter), and other public forums.
  • No incentives or rewards for posting directly in this announcement, respecting the rules on asktom.cf.

5. Strategic Community Mergers
We actively explore merging opportunities with established decentralized communities, enhancing user diversity and strengthening overall decentralization.

6. Reversing Traditional DAO Incentives
Rather than rewarding early proposals without tangible results, our DAO explicitly incentivizes real, demonstrable contributions, aligning incentives with meaningful, long-term community goals.

7. Bitcoin-Inspired Economics and Game Theory
Our token distribution and incentives mimic Bitcoin’s proven fairness, constantly adjusted through community-driven experimentation and transparent game-theory mechanisms to ensure long-term alignment.

8. True Bottom-Up Governance and SubDAO Structure
Governance strictly follows a bottom-up model. Delegates function transparently within mandatory subDAOs:
  • Delegates must announce votes beforehand.
  • SubDAOs can oppose, reverse delegate decisions, or democratically propose alternatives.

Analogy: Similar to how intermediaries misused Nobel-winning microcredit systems, traditional DAO delegates often misrepresent communities for private gain. We prevent this through transparent and accountable subDAOs.

Optional Bicameral Structure (Exploratory)
We are considering two chambers for governance:
  • Token Chamber: Vote weight proportional to token holdings.
  • Individual Chamber: Equal voting power per individual, promoting fairness.

Draft White Paper for the DAO

Introduction
This DAO is envisioned as a decentralized experiment that reverses the traditional order of incentive allocation and power distribution. The project is founded on the premise that people are what truly matter—not chains or individual actors. This document outlines the mechanisms for the creation, distribution, governance, and evolution of the DAO, emphasizing transparency, equal opportunity, and the ongoing experimental risk-taking needed to find the proper balance between merit, participation, and cohesion.

1. Creation and Disengagement of Facilitators

No Permanent Founders: The facilitators who launch the project will do so on a temporary basis. Once a critical mass is reached, these facilitators will step back and hand over the tokens to a group selected by the community, ensuring the elimination of individual incentives and preventing power concentration.
2. Token Issuance and the DAO’s Nature

Multi-Chain Issuance: The token will initially be created on platforms such as Arbitrum or Optimism. However, the DAO remains chain-agnostic, emphasizing that the essence of the project lies in its community rather than the underlying technology.
3. Forking Rights and Participation Guarantees

Open Forking: At any moment, any group may fork the DAO and issue its own token. This possibility serves as a control mechanism: if the facilitators fail to deliver the tokens or deviate from the project’s vision, the community has the option to create an alternative, thereby eliminating any disproportionate power held by inactive or negligent actors.
4. First Iteration: Initial Token Distribution

Participatory Process on Public Forums:
This white paper will be published on bitcoinforum, inviting the forum community to participate in the DAO’s creation.
Interested parties must publicly disclose their Ether address or a secret phrase (previously registered via a linked form) to claim their participation.
The number of tokens assigned will depend on the merit and participation shown in the forum, fostering a fair distribution and deterring Sybil attacks.
Additionally, the process will be replicable on other public forums and social networks (X, Reddit, etc.), in any language, ensuring broad reach and diversity of participants.
5. Subsequent Iterations and the Participation of Specialized Groups

Continuous Process Evolution: Future iterations will maintain the same participatory approach, with the possibility of directly inviting specific groups that ensure cohesion and coordination, such as:
Academics and researchers.
Individuals affected by illnesses or systemic dysfunctions.
Groups with common, verified interests.
6. Objectives and Revision of the Incentive Order

Investment in Human Potential: The DAO aims to explore use cases for decentralized projects by prioritizing people over mere technical development.
It challenges the traditional model in which developers earn income solely by proposing projects, a model that has led to misaligned incentives and failures in the past.
The project’s structure is designed to align interests in the medium to long term, fostering genuine commitment from all participants.
7. Distribution Model and Game Theory

Equity in Distribution: Inspired by Bitcoin’s distribution model, it is acknowledged that achieving a fair allocation based on merit and participation is a challenging task.
Mechanisms based on game theory will be adopted to discourage abuse and promote collaboration and alignment of interests.
Various distribution models will be experimented with, accepting a degree of failure to learn and iteratively adjust the system.
8. Governance and Delegation System

Bottom-Up Governance: The governance structure is built from the ground up to avoid power concentration and the emergence of delegates acting solely for personal benefit.
Mandatory Delegation System with SubDAO Structure: Token holders can delegate their voting power to representatives (delegates) who will function as members of a SubDAO. This measure prevents private pacts and ensures that delegation occurs in a transparent and democratic manner.
Potential Bicameral Structure: The possibility of implementing two chambers will be explored:
Token Chamber: Votes proportional to the number of tokens held.
Individual Chamber: Each individual has one vote, regardless of the number of tokens they hold.
It is noted that delegation in other DAOs has led to pseudo-democracies, where delegates make private deals without benefiting the community, creating a false sense of participation. The solution proposed here is to integrate the delegates into a structure where they are elected by the majority and have clearly defined responsibilities within the SubDAO.
Conclusions
This DAO project is founded on radical decentralization and continuous experimentation. By reversing traditional incentive structures and ensuring control and active participation mechanisms, the goal is to create a genuine community where every member has a voice and vote. The combination of open participatory processes, game theory-based mechanisms, and innovative governance structures aims to avoid past mistakes and lay the foundation for a new era in decentralized organization.
