Nano Ledger S Screen Replacement

What is the site to buy a replacement screen for it?  I recall it was something on aliexpress or is it another site? 



To anyone that has bought this screen, how long did it take for you to replace the screen?  Would you say it's easy or medium or hard to do?  I'm not someone that is good at fixing things so something that is easy to many would be a bit overwhelming to me.  The thing is when you buy the screen, how much did it cost and what about shipping and how long did it take to arrive?  I like to know how long it takes to ship to the US.



To those that fixed their nano ledger s with the replacement screen, do you use it as a hold coin thing only and thus not trading since you can install at most 3 apps I believe?  I think there are some apps you can't even install because it is too big by itself or is that not true?  I think if you install ETH, you can only install ETH and nothing else?  But if say btc, you could probably add bitcoin cash and Bitcoin gold?  The other thing is once you have it installed, what does it show on the screen?  Like is it going to get you to the pin screen or to start a new device?  I know most people who buy a new screen is because the screen doesn't work or not readable.  The other thing is if you haven't used the nano ledger s in a long time and just kept it, is the replacement screen always going to work 100% of the time?  I know it doesn't use a battery so there isn't a battery issue.  So the screen will always fix this issue or not?

Based on numerous sources online, the whole process takes only a few minutes.

It depends on your tools and skills, but considering your history on this forum, I wouldn't recommend doing it!

You're only changing the screen, so it'll show you the enter the pin screen.

If the sole problem is the screen on your nano s, yes, but if something else is the culprit, no.

BTW op, open up your ledger and check how many pins it has — there are two versions 12 pins and 15 pins, buy replacement screen accordingly.

How about possibility of accidentally brick the hardware wallet? Anyway, SFR10 was referring to his habit when creating thread. After so many years, he still create similar/near-duplicate thread and even create 5 separate thread in same day about Nano Ledger S.

Edit 2025: Today i notice this user create 5 threads within 36 minute interval.

I assume op's ledger screen is dusted hence he wants to replace it, so his ledger will stay useless unless replaced anyhow.

Considering that @Maus0728 linked ^{[Ledger Nano S Oled Screen Replacement (refer to the one labeled as "[1]")]} to a thread that mentioned that exact link, I'm pretty sure, he/she purchased it from that link and there's another user ^[Chikito] from the Indonesian local board that mentioned it and here's the translated version:

When I want to know what the pin is what makes it difficult is to open the Ledger Nano S, even having seen the disassembly tutorial on youtube it still fails.

It could be any, even though most tend to be 12 pins, it's good to open up and check for confirmation. I was able to open mine with just nails.

It's the thinnest object available for opening the Ledger Nano S
A stylus (stiletto) also works well
The secret is getting it unlocked to open it, and the thinner the better

After opening, you can try wiping it with isopropyl alcohol and lightly massaging the display, sometimes it works again, but it is still advisable to have a backup screen as the solution may be temporary
