This is another milestone for the Bitcoin ecosystem for Bitcoin hitting block 888,888. The adoption of Bitcoin rising day and night and with that the mining also increase and today it has hit it thousands and now it is going to the millions. And it is very closed to the million and before the next halving Bitcoin will be mined 1,000,000 plus. This shows the progressive nature of bitcoin and it decentralized nature.

This needs to be celebrated. Op I don't have merit I would have given some like the eight figure of all the eights as the first commenter did. This is a real milestone Bitcoin has come far and it is still continues. This day should not be forgotten and the day when the blocks will hit 1000000 will be an another milestone to achieve.
As the Op Said, now that Bitcoin has hit 888888 blocks, then 2028 halving, Bitcoin will be 1 million plus because the number is very close now.

Thank God (as a person who transacts in Bitcoin and not as a miner  ) the inscription madness died down sometime back. I am pretty sure the optimal mining fees who be high up there even after the block had already been mined due to the ripple effect of mempool congestion, or maybe they are waiting for the last block before having and first block after having?

I saw the news earlier from one of the news outlets and it just put a smile on my face. It's really interesting how far Bitcoin have come especially after we were heavily fudded that it won't last but we're celebrating block 888,888 milestone.

I have checked it already through the link you provided. I am just pointing out this one which is on your post about its not the link that you have provided just now. If you aren't sure which one I pointed out is that it's this one which I have checked before checking the other link on op. It's the first time I've seen mempool.space's block with actually images inside (in the OP, not on mempool.space). This makes it even more obvious what a BS it is to add shitty images to Bitcoin's blockchain. And to get in, transaction fees for this block went up 5-10 fold compared to other blocks around that time.

Very exciting news to here. As a result of continuous adaption since the election period till date the block has increased significant. I wasn't expecting 888,888 by now. At the same time i know now that we should be expecting more blocks especially if the price dropped a little more. Many more years to us to witness how far Bitcoin can go. with this block there was a nice fee for miners since people that tried to write in this block have just used... 12 sats/byte
now after few hundreds  of block is already 4 sats/byte ...
I know this will not be really popular for people "inscribing", but I would love to pay always lower fees

8 is an even number in Mathematics and it is divided by 2 and there is no remaining or remainder. And bitcoin has come to hit 888,888. Was looking at how blocks were moving  on mempool, I must say it was impressive to see how fast these were getting mined and was wondering if a fork happened recently because not so long ago we could wait for not less than ~20 minutes to get a confirmation, but what am seeing is great work from our miners as the facilitate smooth running of the Bitcoin network.
