Will there ever be an egalitarian society in the far future?

When I was a kid I always wished that everybody were equal, no social class or discriminations and that we will all live in peace and harmony. But at a point in my life I realized that this wish can never be realized because it is human nature to conquer and rule over others. Give the poor a chance to be rich and most of them will look down on people that are still poor because everybody wants to be better than others. No matter how civilized we claim to be, rich people will always want poor people to serve them and people in leadership positions will want to remain at the top forever. I have a believe that almost every leader in this world is not happy to relinquish power. They leave after their tenure because of democracy, not because they want to and those that don't practice democracy will want to rule till they die and their generations will continue the rule.

This is a normal kind of life we should have every live, but it is not possible because of the evil in this world, there is much of wickedness than the good deeds happening in the entire world, maybe this can be something we may be able to achieve in another world different from this one, but as for us all, we just have to consider the use power as an invasion over human right and the greed in peoples mind may also be another reason why everyone will always run after himself and his selfish ambitions before considering on others.

I have a believe that almost every leader in this world is not happy to relinquish power. They leave after their tenure because of democracy, not because they want to and those that don't practice democracy will want to rule till they die and their generations will continue the rule.

African leaders are well known for refusing to leave power even when their tenure is over. But I know one African who decided to relinquish power even when the people wanted him to continue.

Civilization destroyed many egalitarian societies. Capitalism will always increase the gap between the poor and rich. I don't think we will ever achieve a classless society because the world economy is driven by profit making..

we can hope but it will be almost a domino effect because if one person starts getting more advantages other people will also want to get ahead and will start stepping down on other people just to get to the top faster than everyone else

People will always have class struggles regardless of their educational background because most of the evil actions have been perpetrated by those who are educated also and for that, a lot is needed aside from education to build such a classless society it should be more of a society built on love and communism.

Yes, people will one day realize that via the Cooperative Republic I have outlined in the link in my signature. The basic idea is that you choose anyone you wish to represent you rather than voting for that person.

People's philosophy will shift in three key ways:
1) Just because you are government workers, doesn't mean you can get away with that is a crime for everyone else. Lying, cheating, stealing and killing isn't okay if you're one of the ruled class. And it isn't okay if you're one of the ruling class either. Lying by propaganda, cheating by organizations like the CIA, stealing by taxation, and killing by wars, will all be unacceptable.

2) Voting once a year is not your civic duty. Your civic duty is every single day to be part of the government as we the people ARE the government. People say "us" but mean THEM. If you say "us" as the government, then YOU are the government, and taking care of others is YOUR PERONAL responsiblity. Our role is to voluntarily help each other in accordance with the non-aggression principle and carbon rule of "live and let live".

3) Ask not what your government can do for you, ask what your government can UNDO for you. The government has spend hundreds of years causing problem on top of problem on top of problem. These problems have to be undone. "Quick... do something!" will be replaced with Slow! Undo something! as government have to slow down and undo all their hundreds of mistakes that have accumulated over hundreds of years.

By these three changes, civilty will be ushered into society over time.

On the contrary, I feel the more civilised the world becomes the more disparity in opportunities and statuses everything tends to become. Even in some so-called democracies people are not allowed the right to express themselves in peaceful protest against any infringement of their human rights. No matter what we might want to think, there's no way how we're going to experience an egalitarian society in the world. Except, human greed is no more, because it's the greed that fuels competitions, humans wanting to dominate others, and it's unlikely that those at the top already will want to give room for egalitarianism.

Firstly everyone cannot be rich or even everyone cannot be poor. Eventually the
money will flow to a certain type of person which will make them rich!

If everyone was rich who would work to provide the services we need? how much
would a loaf if bread be?

If we dont have government and law makers do you really trust ourselves to
live in harmony? maybe its possible as a small group but ever more impossible
and the global population grows.

As the population grows and resources become less and less I believe we move
further from the possibility of an egalitarian society.

It can be. Humans are greedy and would love to exploit each other but with transparent system and maybe with a heavily monitored lifestyle, we could achieve equality. There are examples of even the bad of places changing their shape after a person with good intentions takes the lead.

Not to mean they are trying to achieve egalitarian society but as an example of how general public's behavior can be controlled, China used to be and still to some extent is a chaotic society, they were dirty and no regards for rules and laws and people lacked morals. But with strict rules, cameras everywhere and civil moral enforced by the government, the new generation is well behaved, not only because they are constantly monitored but also due to their genuine moral ideas. You can still see the difference in old and new generations watching Chinse tourist outside China.

Am sorry to say, this is a dream that can never come true. What makes some of the rich wealthy is as a result of the service the poor people use their time to work for the rich. If everyone was equal who will serve or the petty works. Life must have a balance, the good and the bad, the rich and the poor, there must be an opposite side of things to keep humans going. We are giving a chance to be who we want to be whether rich or poor, no one was born to remain poor you only need to strive your way out of it.

For real, i like a balance society, when i mean a balance society it is one where even the poor can afford the necessary need of life without breaking all their bones or die trying.

This is where the problem lies, there is hardly a balance in our society, the rich wants to keep getting richer by exploiting the poor, in most places the poor will be denied equal opportunities to become rich. If the gap between the rich and poor were not so wide in many societies and countries there won't be much need to dream for an egalitarian society. Although I have heard that there are some countries that are near egalitarian society, where the gap between the rich and poor is not noticeable, it would have been nice if many countries are like them. Capitalist economy has taken over, even socialist countries practices some levels if capitalism and it means that there can never be a true egalitarian society. As it is everybody must think and work smart inorder to avoid poverty so that they can enjoy their lives.
