EXPANDING INVESTMENT CHOICES FOR 401(K) PLANS: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to allow 401(k) investors to access alternative assets for better returns and diversification.

"The Order directs the Secretary of Labor to reexamine the Department of Labor’s guidance on a fiduciary’s duties regarding alternative asset investments in ERISA-governed 401(k) and other defined-contribution plans.
The Order instructs the Secretary of Labor to clarify the Department of Labor’s position on alternative assets and the appropriate fiduciary process associated with offering asset allocation funds containing investments in alternative assets.
The Order directs the Secretary of Labor to consult with the Secretary of the Treasury, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other federal regulators to determine whether parallel regulatory changes should be made at those agencies to give effect to the purpose of the Order.
The Order directs the Securities and Exchange Commission to facilitate access to alternative assets for participant-directed defined-contribution retirement savings plans by revising applicable regulations and guidance."

On 2017 or 2021 everyone would be shouting to the moon and the pump on bitcoin would be very strong. On 2025 there was no excited reaction and the price did not pump very hardly. This is a very strange and headshaking bull market.

I remember the bull markets in 2017 or 2021 precoso. X20-200 for those markets was a common occurrence, and the current bull market is still very weak. Large funds will redeem the most proven assets. This might be because the participants who have an interest to trade some cryptocoins already can trade the ETFs on BTC, Ethereum and Solana in the stock market. Also, there are now the digital asset treasuries similar to Michael Saylor's MSTR and Tom Lee's Bitmine which are pumping more higher than altcoins. There might not be a reason for them to presently transfer money to the cryptospace.

I also created a thread about digital asset treasuries and I was asking if this might cause the next market bubble pop because there is a chance that some of these digital asset treasuries might have a mismanagement of funds and they might be forced to dump the coins in their treasury. I was shocked on some of the replies because they appear to have been very much triggered if the question was asked heehehe.

It is worth noting that even such small purchases increased the capitalization of the cryptocurrency market to 4 trillion. But what will happen when at least 1% of pension funds' money comes to this market?

It appears that this is a type of trading scheme where they dilute their own stock to dump on the people in the stock market and use the money to pump the asset in their treasury which will increase the value of the company. This will make it cause that the stock of the company appear to be undervalued because of the increasing value of the asset in the treasury hehehehe.

The problem with the stock market is that there are a lot of inflated bubbles. Many companies are buying cryptocurrencies now, so this is not surprising. I can't say anything about this, the stock market has been around for a long time and it is very difficult to manipulate the price of shares there.

True, but market manipulation is very difficult to prove. Trump, with his statements, lowered and raised the prices of stocks and other assets on the world market, and his partners knew about it in advance. But we can’t prove it.

If we talk about bubbles, the crypto market is still very young, and it’s just beginning.

On a different type of less regulations for the cryptospace news, it appears that procrypto politicians in America are trying to take different government positions. They are using procrypto as a method to get more votes very much similar to how the Donald has done it hehehehe.

It's just politics and nothing more.
I don't know how it works in America, but usually such positions are occupied by people who have already been approved by the top management and they must strictly carry out the assigned tasks. I have already given many examples of politicians promoting freedom and cryptocurrencies, but when you start studying their laws, there is total control even more strict than in the banking system.

It appears that the cryptospace will again have more regulations created that will make it appear to have less regulations heheheh. This certainly is very much bullish for bitcoin and the other cryptocoins that have their ETFs already. I reckon big pumps will also be coming to Ethereum and Solana.

However, there will be lower ranked cryptocoins that will have their own ETFs also. What are these?

My understanding of an ETF, in simple terms, is like a child's play. A company buys coins or tokens and then lists its shares on a stock exchange. Where's the cryptocurrency in that? (Rhetorical question)

My take on it is this: the supply of investor money is limited. If some investor money does end up in an ETF, it will be leaving other projects. Therefore, the requirements for ETFs will be very complex.

I read a lot of news every day. One day there's news about ETF inflows, and then reports ETF outflows. It's an exchange, after all, but I'm most interested in who's paying for the new ATH in Bitcoin.We've seen more than one situation where political decisions can cause very long red candles in Bitcoin and other coins.

I believe that stock markets are designed to keep speculators' money there and prevent it from fueling inflation in the real market. ETFs expand opportunities for speculators and make it easy to trade these assets on the stock market without buying cryptocurrency. I agree that ETFs contribute to price pumps, but when speculators lose interest in an asset, we can also see price dumps. This suggests that the crypto market is now heavily dependent on speculator sentiment on major global exchanges.

It's good you mentioned the gateway, but if you look into it in more detail, a Bitcoin ETF provides additional tickers on the exchange for institutional investors to speculate on. In other words, the regulator is closing all gateways to institutional investors and saying, "If you want to trade cryptocurrency, here's an ETF, but don't let your capital leave the stock exchanges."

Then, as usual, tickers for ETF indices and many other derivatives will appear, and most will not understand what they are trading or where the initial cryptocurrency is.

@zasad@. Yes, however, every inflow of funds in the ETF for bitcoin would also be a direct purchase order for bitcoin because the company behind the ETF should hold bitcoin equivalent to the investment of the buyer.

Also, the ETF holder has the choice to redeem the bitcoin from his ETF holdings. This certainly is an indirect method of buying and holding bitcoin.
