Generally, sticky posts will help you whenever your in a certain board. The Meta board has plenty of stickies to help you familiarise yourself wit the forum. I wouldn't worry about making mistakes though, moderators can solve most of your problems, but I appreciate your willingness to adhere to the etiquette around here!

Discussions shouldn't be complicated.  Are you coming here specifically to make money?   If not, there are many other forums with easier to understand content.

It is all new to you, so it is alright for it to look complicated especially since forums are not very popular right now.

Things can only get clearer the more you read and have a real interest in bitcoin. There are many guidelines already available for you, search and read them out. Find what you like and get into that.

There are so many guides around the forum depending on what you are looking for. If you are using PC or Firefox for android. My suggestion is that you install the bpip.org add-on (official announcement - https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=5213618) and then set it up to enhance the user menu

Once installed, make sure "Enhance MORE Menu" is enabled.

Why the choice of posting in meta instead of beginners and help. If the forum is complicated to you, I advice you to stick around the beginners and help board instead of meta. Meta is possibly were somewhat established members suggest or contribute on the forum related things.
A mod can move this to BH board.

Earning money from the forum is complicated, so yes, it's complicated. Don't get hurt, because you are criticising yourself by making this post. Since you made your first post without any issues, it means you know how to make a post and how to engage in the discussion over the forum. That's the goal of joining this forum: to learn from here.

So why do you think everything is complicated here? If you need to know anything simply, you can use the search button. There are a lot of guides on the forum. You can discover them by reading pinned topics on each board you are posting. So take it easy.

You are welcome to the forum. Things should not be complicated for you. It is very easy to understand the forum content; it is all about reading people to understand things. Here it’s a learning environment; anything you don’t understand, you can ask a question about. By saying things are complicated, I think this is due to the knowledge you are still yet to have in the forum, and maybe you wanted to do something which you seem not to understand.

It is looks complicated at the start especially if you are not used to an internet forum. I remember saying to myself that the text were too small when I registered. I was using a mobile phone then. But as time went on I got the hang of it. Follow the links that have been provided to learn more about the forum.

You don't need to understand everything about the forum in one day that's why you are a new comer but the more you keep being active the more you will be finding things very easy to understand you don't even need to be told everything rather you can explore the forum so that you will learn more about that has been discussed before you registered here. The forum will really look complicated for you if you come here not to learn but to make instant money. You keep on rushing things to learn so you can start earning an income early, and that’s the biggest mistake that any beginner should never do.

This forum is undeniably quite difficult and complicated for beginners, especially if the terms used are new to your eyes. That’s why you need to take your time, do your due diligence to read and research so you can slowly grasp what the whole forum is all about. Earning will soon to follow if you can navigate the forum well, and understand the whole scenario presented in the forum.

I don't know how long you've been maybe browsing the forum before you registered your account. About half an hour after registration you post your first topic where you're basically lost. Hmm, really? Let's assume you're an adult or at least almost finished with life in school.

Simply take your time to browse and read. You're not on the run, are you? Read the sticky topics because those are pinned for a reason.

With a little patience you could've found the Beginners & Help board which has the Newbies - Read before posting sticky -- lots of valuable info therein. (As written before OP posted this topic in Meta first.)

Maybe you struggle with English language. There are local language boards, too.

Is it possible you missed all this before?

This is how I felt when I was new here in the forum, everything became complicated for me since I wasn't good at English.  Luckily, we have a local board that speaks our language fluently.
If I were the OP, I would stick to your local board if you really want to learn more.

I also remember it took days before I posted, so I invested my time reading more in discussion threads so that I could learn first before doing posting.

As a newbie sometimes that is how it used to be, but just with time everything would start getting more familiar with you in the forum. However, I would advise you stick to the rules and regulations that is govern the forum because that is the only way you can be able to navigate the forum, and don't hesitate to ask questions on anything you are not familiar with because as long as this Bitcointalk forum is concerned copying and pasting from Al generated is highly prohibited.

If the answer is yes, go for it. If it's no, maybe hold off. That's the basic guideline here. Don't overthink it.

This was exactly how I felt the first time I saw the forum. The black and white color and archaic design looked different from what is generally seen on the internet. The forum also has different sections that are complex to understand. But I would attest that the forum is very simple to use.

You don't need to know everything about the forum to understand and use it. I suggest that at this early stage, you target specific boards that interest you and concentrate on them. As you keep using the forum, you will be exposed to other areas that you might find helpful. Nothing is complicated if you show interest.
