Is Dogeday not celebrated anymore??

Hey guys, how’s it going? I’ve been thinking about something lately. In past years, Doge Day was always a big deal—there was so much hype on social media, especially on Twitter and Reddit. People would post memes, share their love for DOGE, and just have fun with it.

But this year? It felt kind of... quiet. I didn’t see much excitement or any major buzz. It just came and went without much fanfare. No special events, no big announcements from Dogechain, no cool promos from DEXs or CEXs. It honestly felt like most people forgot about it.

So I’m wondering—have we collectively moved on from DOGE? Is the community not as strong as it used to be?.

People focused more on new meme coins which makes doge not to get to all-time high but it actually increased in price to almost 10x or so. This does not happen to only doge but it happened to many old altcoins as they only increased like 5 times and they did not get to all-time high. This is the reason I do not like altcoins as they are not store of value.

When the hype is gone then totally that make you pissed or will be testing out your patience when investing out with these kind of meme coins. Yes, it might bring up fortune but only into those people who do able to stored up or able to accumulate while its still cheap, but for those who are trying out to chase up on the current price just because they've been chasing up on becoming profitable then they are that prone into mismanagement of their funds and ended up on investing into those bad selections because they cant be able to think up well. Dogeday isnt celebrated anymore? If we do consider out on how many meme coins in the market as of this moment then its no shocking that people will be focusing into those new ones or whats the current hype. They wont be that putting up some focus or wont be that interested into something that have already that reached out its all time high and not struggling to go back into its price. We do know that once it do happens these these tokens/coins would be hardly be able to come back into that level and will be that having tha ranging or sideways movement or doesnt made out some huge movement. They will be of course focusing into those low caps or just be still on the decentralized exchangers.

Until now, there are still many social hyped on various platforms such as Facebook where they will promote meme coins that are unknown and then they will level their meme coins
to the level of Pepe, Doge, Shib so that they can entice victims.

Even now, community investors are still taking chances that they will hit the jackpot on meme coins. How can that happen to them if they themselves do not know how to DYOR
on meme coins that really have potential.

Perhaps it had something to do with Dogecoin back then being the only one and the most important Memecoin in the market (still is if we talk about marketcapitalization), but unfortunately it seems greed has diluded part of the hype people had felt for Dogecoin, to be honest.
Nobody is in for steady and long term gains with Doge especulation, many of the people interested in Dogecoin has moved to other projects which are basically gambling. The ecosystem of memecoins is bigger than ever and that takes spotlight away from Doge, when it's not pumping hard.
Dogecoin to me continues to be the best Memecoin be people are not here for the meme, there are here for the money snd not much more. Times have changed.

From what i have heard Doge community grew more toxic then it originally was. And naturally people are leaving for other memecoins / tokens as market is saturated by them.
I have a feeling that majority of activity on every community is mainly just bunch of bounty hunters, influencers shilling their bags or just bots. I know i am pessimistic, but dead internet theory seems relevant on these.

Combine this with tribalism where every altcoin community hates other altcoin communities and it's easy to understand why celebration doesn't seem that relevant.

I only saw a few people mention it but honestly it did seem like it only went by and people only got reminded of it in the passing. Shouldn’t there have been more celebratory events? Competitions or projects that celebrate it?

Maybe they also just lost hope after Elon Musk clarified that the US government wasn’t at all interested in using DOGE.

Doge Day was a spontaneous movement that emerged on social media in 2021. I think that any year's Doge Day celebration will not be as crazy as it was in 2021.
The loyal Dogecoin community will always continue to celebrate this day.
There were those who said that if Elon Musk doesn't tweet, there will be no party, I don't think so, the Dogecoin community is enough, it's just that the market's timing was not very good to celebrate.

TBH, I've been in the crypto industry for quite some time & have been involved in quite a bit of Dogecoin (DOGE) discussions, but I've just heard of Dogeday .

This is based & has strong reasons behind it, we know that there are more and more coins/tokens that are categorized as memes. Every day, new tokens emerge & steal the attention as well as MC. I believe that the community will slowly leave $DOGE behind, look, there are $SHIB & $PEPE which have greater potential for price growth.

I think most people forgot about Dogecoin because of the hatred surrounding Elon Musk. The guy is "attached" to the "meme" coin, after all. Not to mention, the bear market (as a result of Trump's tariffs) have scared many investors away from crypto (DOGE included). Although, the market is bullish now, I believe the effects will be short-lived. At least, during the remainder of 2025.

I remember the good old-days when the community had that kind of "excitement" towards Dogecoin. 2014 was believed to be the "Golden Age of Dogecoin". 2021 was a good year, too. With all of the buzz surrounding rival "meme" coins (PEPE, SHIBA, TRUMP, etc), who's going to remember about celebrating "Dogeday" anymore?

 I didn't come across any Doge day celebration in the past and if such day ever existed I don't think it was so special or significant for dogecoin price rally. Just like Bitcoin with the pizza day, such celebration for such coin is never always joked with even till date but if there was doge day, I didn't know. What some people say about altcoins is true, they are hyped for some times after which another coin with take over.

Regardless, there are still too many investors of dogecoin with the hope that the coin will perform well in the future and it might perform well.
