If there is a pre BIP32 Bitcoin Wallet backup that was developed and maintained by Andreas S that used Bitcoinj. Is there any way of resorting the wallet and the related transactions history? The backup is  based on (text based file) non QR format backup. Interestingly The length of the backup content over various backups varies .

The present version of the application does not accept any of the formats from previous years.
The wallet keys are pre-hard fork (2017).
Already attempted Checked  options under settings > Safety> Restore wallet >> Sweep Paper Wallet. Also tried converting text into QR code. The wallet application downloaded from the app-store. The present version has not had developer signature and name in the recent year. Assuming it is still Andreas S originally developed wallet.  Haven't used this wallet app for a long time but need to restore transactions.

I never use wallet by schildbach ( Andreas Schildbach), but have you tried reading recovery guide on https://github.com/bitcoin-wallet/bitcoin-wallet/blob/main/wallet/README.recover.md? If your text based file is human readable or doesnt contain weird character, it's probably in Base58 key format.

Don't you have the passphrase and PIN from the file? If you do, just import the backup into the bitcoin wallet app and it will ask you for the passphrase and PIN (if you have enabled them).

Optionally, you can decrypt the backup by following the above document and/or following the instructions in various topics:

[HOW-TO] Export Bitcoin private keys (in WIF) from Bitcoin Android (schildbach)

Has anyone here been able to decode the backup of bitcoin wallet (schildbatch)?

tutorial on how to decrypt a bitcoin wallet backup to use with multibitHD

If the backup file is protected by a PIN code, you need bitcoinj to decrypt it.
