Well hopefully this conflict is deescalated quickly. The last thing we need is another sustained war in the world which leads to countless innocent deaths. India & Pakistan have a long history of hatred between each other. I believe they both potentially have nuclear weapons so this is a dangerous time. I hope to see this end before it gets really bad.

Turkey might get involved too and i don't think USA UK try to settle peace but they likely more start blaming one side and escalate even more.

Im sure trump will say more about sanctions and Pakistan assets freeze and taking.
Since UK Banks have a lot to do they can say things like they take from pakistan and give to India.

There have been too many negative occurrences in the world in the recent years. A few years pause would sure do us good.

We've said the same thing with Russia-Ukraine. Now, with India and Pakistan. Soon, we'd include China vs US. Although it's already appearing in our naked eye but through the tariffs war that Trump has started. I think that I've heard before that there was a conflict that even in their past and history and if that is materializing now, hopefully these two nations will realize that it's not worth it. Have a peacetalk, ceasefire and negotiation. But that's the hardest part for most of these countries, to negotiate. They're all big boys and have pride to maintain.

The cause of India missile attack on Pakistan is not enough to spark the world war iii and don't expect such, this is just something that have to do with retaliation on what has been done to them, but in life, we can do somethings and go free of it, while some of our negative actions bounce back on us right form the time of the act and we don't get away with such, we cant blame any side for now than to pray for peace to exist between them all.

What kind of reasoning that is? If countries are big enough, that won't lead to world war? I would understand the argument that India or Pakistand aren't part of any military alliance,
but the fact that they are "well armed enough", might end up being the problem. Both india and Pakistan have nuclear missiles.

How much you think it will escalate before it escalates too much for the rest of us. I am really hoping it won't but today crazy wannabe dictators get to be presidents as well.

The reasoning is that neither side can claim the other has 'unfair advantage' to draw in support from other countries. For once hopefully a conflict will remain between just the 2 parties with no one else interfering. If they end up blowing each other to Kingdom Come (though I highly doubt it will go that far) - oh well, boohoo...

Maybe... but other countries don't need to get involved.   The two countries have enough nukes for a global nuclear winter even all blasts are contained in their territory.  If you can last a decade on your reserves (energy to filter air, provide light to grow food, etc.) you'll be ok.   99% of us will starve and leave behind a pre-industrial society.  

I've been predicting these water conflicts for a 1.5 decades, and I'm happy to see it's been getting attention the last couple years.   In the US they fight using laws; in South Asia they fighting using weapons.  Sticks and stones so far, but if your armed forces are about to collapse from lack of water, are you just going to surrender with "ok, you win.  I'll let my hundreds of millions of citizens die"?

I don't think they have very powerful nuclear weapons to damage so much rest of the world.

That's how I see it. It's a possibility neighbors will get involved, but it will be like in Ukraine where some countries supply a side, but try not to cross that imaginary line in the sand. For instance, Russia is pretty careful not to hit any NATO country with its missiles and drones, while Ukraine could do much more "terrorist style" damage in Russia, but is trying to only target military personnel.

Europe will not get involved in this conflict, which is why there's no way for it to become a World War. I also don't think that Trump will do much as he's already actively participating in some conflicts, like Ukraine, Yemen and Taiwan.

I doubt if it’ll bring about the 3rd world war tho..my views on what might bring it closer than expected is if American Zonal General in charge of African/American forces Gen Langley invades Burkina Faso and then are repelled by Russian forces then it’ll escalate quickly than expected as the Sahel states are rich in Gold and Coals used to build batteries in our electric cars, phones and anything that has to do with batteries so it’ll be a fight for control of natural resources which the new digital world would strive on..

Well, the war between India and Pakistan has come to an end. As many people were worrying that this conflict would result in World War III, as both of these were nuclear nations and this region has a very strategic importance. I don't say that all the problems have been resolved but at least for now the ceasefire has been agreed between the two nations and the US played an important role in bringing both nations to the table.

As many people were worrying that this conflict would result in World War III, as both of these were nuclear nations and this region has a very strategic importance. These two countries have been contesting the Kashmere territory for years with many
tensions and escalations over the years.

This new ceasefire could already be in place for a long time, WW3 was a bit

This is not a cease fire leading to a permanent understanding like was possible in WWI and WWIII - every single person still needs 3+ liters of water per day in those countries, PLUS the food they grow.  Which country will sign a treaty allowing their citizens to die?
