Aid doesn't make poor countries rich

Aid is one thing that the big boys of the world do in helping the less privileged countries who are still struggling to stand on their feet the United States of America, the European union, world bank and even I. M. F all give away aids to these poor countries in a bid in  helping them to stand on their ground.

One thing that I have seen is that countries who has been collecting aids has continued to be poor and needing aides every time especially most African countries who has remain poor despite several aids that has been received by these countries one thing that I have come to realization is that aids doesn't make countries rich rather it  is a way that the super powers of the world  are using  to hold these countries to ransom and make sure that they continue to be poor and always depends on the aids that is coming from the super powers. For these countries to be free they need to realize that aids are actually poisons  that are given by the the super economic Powers to make sure that these countries don't make any progress economically so the countries who are struggling economically should rather than seeking for aids should look inward and see how they can improve their economies so they can stand on their own because the truth is this is the way that the world is structured and designed to be

It’s normal that country received aid will still poor because rich country just provided a band aid solution that will not work long term. People on the country itself need to step up to develop their country instead of relying on the basic necessities aid to create a more sustainable resources.

In addition to aid not making any poor country to be rich, one of the major reasons that keeps them impoverished is corruption, the aid that are handed out to them are mismanaged. Politicians and officials will divert most of these funds for their selfish and private use, this is why they prefer their countries to remain poor so that they will continue to be in need of aid. On the part of the rich countries that gives these aid they won't encourage infastructual developments in the poor countries, they will prefer to milk their natural resources and hand them charity. The major problem of many poor countries is a lack of good leadership, their leaders will rather enrich themselves from their resources than build their economy.

Aid is just a temporary solution from struggling nations. That's right that it won't make a country rich but it will make those beneficiaries rich. If you know what I mean with that, those people that receives the fund or an organization that receives the aid, they're the ones that are totally benefiting from it. If they're transparent with all of the reports of how much they receive and how much is being budgeted and alloted to the actual in need, that's good. But if there are no reports of how the aid is spent, then that's the trouble gets in. While it becomes a temporary solution, countries involved in this need to think long term and not just short term with all of these aid that they think will solve world problems.

If you remove corruption from the system and streamline the wealth distribution, financial aid can be a great tool to eradicate poverty. However, it is not possible in reality so we can't see much benefit here.

Also financial aid is a great business tool. Microsoft used it through Melinda-gates foundation to increase their reputation and business in Africa. So there are many layers to it. Aid exists for a reason. Till the time it is getting fulfilled, poor nations will keep getting aid and no changes will be seen.

If the aid given to the African countries is managed well, not mismanaged by their government, I am sure it will go a long way in helping those African countries not to look impoverished like those who have not been receiving aid from the World Bank, USA, and the European Union.

I will point out that African governments are to blame for their problems. The level of corruption that coexists among them is the reason why they haven't grown big enough to depend on their own resources, rather than looking for help from Western countries, which have a working government to serve, protect, and provide for their citizens.

Are you aware that countries that receive aid don't use it for helping their countries, especially African countries. Every aid comes with a condition, The country providing the aid always has something huge to benefit from the receiving country and there are certain bargains the receiving country must fulfill which the masses aren't aware of. In my country, there was an aid collected from IMF in 1986 and one of the conditions was to devalue the native currency and that was the start of my country being a failed mission. Every country receiving aid from developed country especially EU countries are just shooting themselves on the foot. EU would never allow you progress so that they would constantly be in control.

I stand in solidarity with the Africans countries who have used the action of military like Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali and the rest and have Removed EU colonial masters from their economy and paid back the debts, only then did they regain total control over their countries economies.

If the leaders are not of very strong characters, These aids ruin the country instead of elevating them.

Aid is just a band-aid solution just so that these poor people will survive on a daily basis.
Aid is just a cover-up by these governments just so that nobody will know what they're doing (even know we know).

Aid is a big thing for those poor families don't get me wrong, but being rich just because of getting an aid? I don't think it's possible, and it will never be at first place because aid is just a way for these poor people to survive for a few days while finding a way to earn money.

When used properly, I guess, but I haven't seen anybody who's accepting aid (at least here in my place) that got out from the poverty zone. Aid is isn't meant to make any country rich, in fact it is generally intended to prevent absolute poverty that in on the verge of starvation or address particular medical needs that a country cannot afford to do themselves. If it is done correctly and monitored to minimize corruption - which is very easy to slip into countries with poor or barely functioning systems of government - then it can actually be helpful for the rest of the world. The prime example for this is vaccination or health programs that target outbreaks of curable diseases which could actually get much worse or morph into a new threat if it is not dealt with early on. If you can pay $100k or even a million dollars to shut down isolated cases, it's better than it spreading into other places.

Whatever aid the US gives to African countries, it will not help them get out of poverty. Because the problem for African countries is why it is difficult for them to become prosperous countries even though so much aid is given to them, because corruption is so rampant there, human resources are also underdeveloped, and political instability often makes it difficult for countries to develop their economies. So what happens is that these poor countries are like running in place, they do not develop because of the many problems they face. Giving them aid is like making them more addicted and not independent.

What they should do is: eradicate corruption, invest in education, health, and vocational training, deal with political turmoil, develop infrastructure, and establish cooperation between countries to develop the tourism sector or other important sectors. It all starts with themselves. If they are unable to do it, then in the end they will remain poor countries.

Developed countries shouldn’t just hand over money to the poor countries. They need to build schools, hospitals etc and send some educated professionals there.

Otherwise all the aid they give will be used incorrectly and that will solve nothing.

the certainty must be like that, trying by yourself is much better, concerning aid funds to poor countries which are actually very helpful but it is far from enough, yes at least it lightens the burden of poor countries in development. and aid funds are very much needed by poor countries, especially in the food and medicine sectors, that is what is needed even though aid does not make poor countries rich but it is very helpful for those in need.

No aid is truly given for free. If a loan is provided, it's expected to be repaid with interest. If aid is given, it's often in exchange for certain privileges. Natural resources are exploited, sovereign rights are interfered with and the internal affairs of that country are meddled in.

For poor countries to truly improve, they need to stand on their own feet, build a strong education system, have a fair legal system and get rid of corrupt politicians. Without doing these, they'll stay poor.

Aid is more likely to entrap and enslave a country to the entity providing it aid, more than it is to actually help a country. Take El Salvador for example. They had the freedom to continue accumulating Bitcoin, then they took a loan from the IMF, then their consistent Bitcoin purchasing all of a sudden stopped. The same principle applies with aid. If aid is given, there are strings attached. Nothing comes for free. Not to mention, the aid is probably being given by the entity/an entity related to why that country needed aid to begin with.

It's curious you blame the ones who are sending aid to the poor countries for the miserable conditions of such countries. They are actually giving resources which could be used by the people from poor country to develop themselves. It's like an additional boost or encouragement. Smart people would be just thankful and use it on their favour to evolve faster and more efficiently than if they had no one helping.

After all, if poor countries don't develop, even with external support, it's their own fault for not managing resources effectively and for having high rates of corruption in every spheres of society.

The Asian Tigers where able to transform their economy by effectively and efficiently management of financial assistance.they received. The problem is not the aid but how these funds are used. Sometimes the conditions that are attached to these financial assistance are consciously designed to keep nations in poverty. So we can conclude that some of these aids are targeted at making nations continually depend on these financial donors.
