We do know that not all investors or business owners becomes successful. Yes, work smart not hard, but usually you would be starting up into this aspect.

Well, it seems the human body likes hardwork which is why food taste better and body feels better after working really hard. And certain people go to the gym to run on the threadmill until they get exhausted then they rest and feel better. I find it difficult to find the connection between whatever you are saying and what is supposedly being discussed. People need to do some physical work to keep healthy. If we don’t, we will be more prone to health complications which is not productive at all.

I like the fact that this statement only visit the kind of hard work that isn't going to make someone successful because I could have disagreed if he had only mentioned hard work without addressing what he meant because a lot of us and myself believes that hard work can be someone who is very good in everything either in working or managing different business and such person could be successful person already or someone working to be one. Billionaires are not always that, sometimes they just get lucky at investing in the right thing at the right time. Take a look at Elon Musk for example, his early investment in Paypal brought tremendous wealth because they were the primary payment system for many years and generated a pile of money for him to spend elsewhere. I might not like the guy but he capitalized and then held on to the right asset without selling out too early, which is often a blunder that early investors make. when a group of workers have been doing the job for a while they have already found all the smart, efficient, tricks.. they are at the most efficient they can be for the times technological limits. so when the business then sets targets/quota's for the workers to get commission/bonus, these limits are then at the new smarter/efficient level.. so all that is left then is workers to then work harder to ensure they meet/exceed the new raised targets to get the good money

every miner wants to get more efficient and hash more hashes to win more shares of a block.. however by doing so, it might help the individual temporarily to increase hashrate, but eventually the competition gain makes everyone else join the new higher rates because they were losing sats, and so everyone rasies their game with next gen asics.. whereby things plateau again where everyone is working equally again but at a higher difficulty. thus shooting everyone in the foot, as now they have to find a new trick with current gen of asics, which due to there not being smarter/more efficient asics yet. all they can do is just multiply the work by multiplying the number of asics

Some of the reason why people who work hard earn less might be because they lack education or basic skills needed for more advanced jobs. You cannot be at the high level of an organization if you are not qualified. Workers that are only physically sound might not be entitled to high pay. I can visualize the difference between smart work from hard work upon reading the replies.  Smart work is like using tools to minimize effort but maximize efficiency, while hard work is doing all the effort manually without the use of any tools.  More or less smart work is all about using leverage to get the work done.
