I just felt I should share this little knowledge of my here so that newbies and others members who have little knowledge or no knowledge at all concerning bitcoin unit names and there symbols can  go through this thread and balance up the equation. Because it make no sense where by as someone who is investing in bitcoin (cryptocurrency) generally can not be able to identify bitcoin units names and there symbols when they see them, that's why i have decided to share the bitcoin unit names and there symbols so that when you see them you can be able to identify them.

Let me also share some benefits of understanding bitcoin unit names and there symbols.

When you under bitcoin unit names and there symbols it will help to avoid been confuse when making transactions.

If you understand bitcoin unit names and there symbols it will help you to be able to communicate with other people who are into bitcoin.

Are you sure? The price of bitcoin is estimated in BTC on most platforms. If not estimated in BTC, you can change it to BTC like under settings.

Already when making transaction on non custodial wallet such as Electrum what you would see over there is sat/vbyte, so anyone who knows how the fees are being calculated should be able to make out their transactions successfully. Although there are people who always get it wrongly this sections that is why we often see people pays 1BTC as fee to their transaction this is for those who don't usually understand how the sat/vbyte are being calculated.

This has nothing do with price over the time, as all market are being priced with dollars and people should be able identify it through the dollars equivalent except you sets your trading account to display only on bitcoin.

Of course this definitely helps you in terms of public or wanting to mention any of these symbols to a none bitcoiner or to external body's, they wouldn't understand what you are saying as it would turn to slanges over their earing.

Where did you hear this or see something like this? Just make sure you are using a reputed wallet and exchange, know what bitcoin addresses are and learn how to avoid scam.

The scam we have heard of that is similar to this is about scammers to send testnet bitcoin which are actually not bitcoin but on the wallets that I have used it, you will see a warning that it is not bitcoin. Also other scam like double spending the coin and others that I knew about are not related to bitcoin units.

To me what is mostly needed here is for the bitcoiner or the person to know the current price of bitcoin that is all, and what do i mean by that?
Whatever unit anyone calls for you, maybe shows you such in their wallet what you have to do is just to use that fraction or units and multiplied by the current price of bitcoin you would the get the equivalent in dollars price. For instance; let say someone showed 0.0009BTC in their wallet and wanting to scam you, all you could do is just typed that number 0.0009 x 108,419 = $97.6. So tell me if you know this in dollars would you be deceived again or scammed?

If I am not mistaken, these units are similar to SI units we know from school, if you can apply that same knowledge here, you will easily interpret the conversion and will know the value.

Nevertheless, it is good you share I can’t condemn your effort because some people don’t actually know about these units; even though Sats is the most important one to know, others are due to fractions which if the table is studied well, it will be well understood.

Even if you know the Bitcoin unit, you can can be scammed if you didn’t take your wallet security serious, or if you save your Bitcoin in a closed-source wallet that might get compromised easily.
I feel that if you learn well before starting your Bitcoin investment journey, you should know some ways to prevent yourself from getting scammed because the only scam that might come through Bitcoin is when you send wrong address or if you are greedy to accept any offer from strange platform you never know.
Units doesn’t stop scams, you can get scammed even if you know them.

It is good for someone to know this right but for me I don't think it is necessary for me because I no dey plan to go dip inside this cryptocurrency world but assuming say na when I been dey start Bitcoin or cryptocurrency things person been cap me about this level I for try follow up small but as it stands I no fit come dey carry those things for my head pan because no need and secondly the thing too plenty e just be like hand out wey lecturer give student to go study mean while the handouts no correlate to waiting the student they think or dey do.

You don't have to go deep to understand some of this things. If you go to general board like Bitcoin discussion and you heard of the terms been used, you will be confused and don't know what they are referring to, that's when you will start doing research but when you see this kind of thread and skim through, they are going to be helpful when you see any of them in other threads and when someone quote you in discussion or when outsider make use of them.

Who knows what tomorrow can tell, there was a time brc20 became the new hot thing in Bitcoin, it was never there before but all of a sudden the demand made it a trend and one has to make personal research on what they are about and the things they are been transact on Bitcoin chain but it was his kind of threads that help me out to understand them, so no knowledge is a waste. If you go to Binance academy, you will likely see more articles and tutorials like the one OP created.

What scam are you talking, I think you have to enlighten us more on that since it seems that me and other members are confused but you are trying to prove a point, may be we are not getting you correctly and you need to make further explanation to that effect because the only scam potential through such bitcoin unit calculations that I can think of is likely p2p, when buying directly from persons and you do not know the accurate bitcoin units scammer may likely act on the dumbness of the buyer to scam him.

But that is the lowest level of scam and it bearly happens, as much as we try to check mate other possible factors and way scam exists, there are some scam methods that can not trive due to it level of possibility just like in this case of bitcoin units scam that you mentioned.

There is nothing to learn about scam from the bitcoin units in reality.

In reality there's nothing concerned Bitcoin symbol, units to scammers as I know there is no way anyone could get through those units and symbols.
Symbols and are just representation of Bitcoin and anyone who knows themselves very well will never for any reason get scammed as I believe that scamming or hacking are related to wallet, and if someone keys or seedphrase are properly stored the hack is inevitable. Anyone who has access to that wallet will of course get access to the funds stored in that address, but linking units and symbols as way of scamming someone is something that is not realistic and I can't accept that.
