Just want to be curious, thought i read a news articles where certain analyst explained that the current bullish momentum we are experiencing was due to lack of FOMO. The analyst emphasised that long term investor are aggressively not selling, more higher price expectations, and that trading sentiments has been subdued.
Nevertheless, i think that most often, when the market is bullish, there are always these trends of FOMO(fear of missing out) playing out. However, do you think the current bullish momentum had no FOMO effects? You thought

I think smart people aren't trading or selling, just buying with the intent of eventually reaching a point where you don't have to sell.

yes  being smart is the way to go combined withgood information. fear of missing out(FOMO) is a tendency that most of the time, affects upcoming traders or investors. But timing and consistent observatory trades will help the trader to overcome FOMO.
