I was really impressed with Liverpool performance today, because it was a very good game of football, Liverpool have been very lackluster this season, they’ve not been playing very well in recent games, playing a draw with Burnley which is more like a loose, the overall performance today was spectacular and I really enjoyed the performance, I haven’t been this happy with Liverpool winning a game this season, and right now they’re 4th in the Champions League Standings.

Well Chelsea deserves to win their game today, they were the only once playing football, Pafos just looks like a team who only came to defend, and hit Chelsea on a counter, but unfortunately the game failed them, when you look the Champions League Top 8 you will have to notice that English teams are doing absolutely fine right now with their Performance, 5 of the English teams are in the Top 8, only Manchester City that are outside the Top 8 teams in the Champions League Standings, which means that English teams are dominating in the Champions League.

Maybe they're being hunted by the trauma of their last encounter with Manchester United. It seems Manchester city are going through another series of defeat as a result of what looks like some psychological effect that is impacting the English club who lost in their last domestic league encounter against a struggling Manchester United in the Manchester derby over the weekend. No idea why people doubted Arsenal, it looks quite easy and for some reason people are still looking at this like it is something shocking. Arsenal is far better than Inter, they have been all season long and yet the odds were very doubtful about the game.

I think it was mainly because Arsenal basically guaranteed the fact that they are not going to be out of top eight, so if they guaranteed their place then of course everyone assumed they would not play with their 100% and wouldn't even care if they lost. When you do not care, that could make you lose any game and that is why people may have assumed Inter may win, but the reality is that the gap of talent between these two clubs was too much and Arsenal got a very easy win.

We all thought City will be the team mount pressure on Arsenal but they are showing signs and they are letting Arsenal slip away. Back to back losses for them in all competition and it's not looking good.

Champions league standings is looking good but surprising, certain teams haven't made it to the top 8 yet but they still have an opportunity to make it happen. Barcelona, and some other clubs needs to fight to make it there. England team's seems to dominate the top spots  with 5 English team's in the top 8, they seems to be dominating the competition this season but it's still no guarantee that the trophy is heading to England by the end.

Manchester City's loss to Bodø suggests that the effects of the defeat to Manchester United are still evident, following their setback coming just three days later in the Champions League stage. Of-course the biggest issue in this game was City's defense. They also badly missed Kevin De Bruyne's defense-splitting passes to Haaland. Also Pep's continued reliance on Rico Lewis feels questionable, and if this keeps going, it could come back to haunt him. If City don't fix these problems quickly, even teams like Wolverhampton will be lining up to take their share.

Games in champions league always have another level, they never have any impact of domestic league results or performance, currently Manchester City is on rotation just because of these, facing problems still they have enough chances to keep themselves in top ranks.

Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt have first win of this season, in last game they have done good job against Borussia Dortmund which gave them one point, now have first 3 points, must be amazing stuff from them while Manchester City having good timely wake-up call which will give them time for doing their work on their defense if they want to have anything significant in this season.

Barcelona don’t have a good start, Slavia Prague almost seemed like a good match, scoring first and forcing an own goal out of Barcelona but, you just know Barcelona would always find a way back into the game and they did. Getting a first half draw with a 2:2 scoreline and finishing them off in the second half with 2 more goals from Olmo and Lewandowski.

Barcelona conceded a goal just 10 minutes into the match. I thought Barcelona would probably lose points in this match too. Barcelona unexpectedly lost against Real Sociedad in the last match. But despite conceding goals quickly, Barcelona secured the lead in the first half. Fermin Lopez scored both goals in the first half. But due to Lewandowski's mistake in the last minute of the first half, Slavia Praha scored another goal and the match was tied.

But in the second half, Barcelona became more desperate to score. Barcelona players had 10 shots in the second half. Of these, 8 were on target. This shows that Barcelona's attacks were very strong. Barcelona secured a 4-2 victory with goals from Lewa and Olmo.

In fact in football, occasionally accepting defeat is part of the habit especially for Pep Guardiola given the results he achieved in his two matches this week both in the UCL and the EPL. Of course it's highly inappropriate to say he's fired as Man City has become a popular team under Pep Guardiola winning the draconian title in previous seasons. Therefore there's no need to blame Guardiola for his poor results in this season's UCL.

Manchester City have suddenly fallen into disarray. I would say that the main reason for Manchester city's poor results is their weak defense. They have conceded 5 goals in the last two matches.

However, City's attacking performance has also been weak. Manchester city released De Bruyne this season. I was very critical of this. City released De Bruyne without finding a suitable replacement. And they are now suffering the consequences. The bonding between  the midfield and the attack is weak. This is also one of the reasons for City's inconsistent  performance. It is unlikely that city will get out of this problem very quickly.

However, as we can see this season, there will be a lot of competition, especially with the stronger teams. Moreover, the team scored against Barcelona early on, but Barcelona responded again later. Despite the own goal of a Barcelona player that put their opposing team ahead, Barcelona attacked quite strongly and won their match. However, we can see that Barcelona will definitely try hard enough in the next match to stay in the semi-finals. However, since the teams have already performed well and they will increase their focus in the next matches, this season's UCL is going to be very exciting.

It's really funny and strange how football match changes before fulltime and am saying this because of Atalanta versus Athletic Bilbao game. Atalanta scored first and won halftime result by 1:0 but only for them to return for second half and Athletic Bilbao have now overturned the result as they are currently playing 1:3 and the match is around 80 minutes which means that there is nothing Atalanta can do to get a draw not to talk of winning Bilbao. Atalanta always start well in the Champions League games but they mostly flop when the matches start hitting up so am not surprised that they losing to Bilbao.

Actually I thought Atalanta would win that game, from the starting time their performance was promising and they got one goal before halftime and they were leading into the second half but things quickly took a turn when Bilbao equalized in the 58th minute  and Bilbao continued their goal scoring streak and scored three goal in the second half leading three goals to one and then Atalanta was later able to score their second goal in the 88th but they lost the game and Bilbao got all three points.

Atalanta dominated the game with shots possession and chances but they were not able to convert those chances to goals and they lost again!

If this had been in Spain, Galatasaray wouldn't even have gotten a draw, but still, getting a point against a team like Atletico Madrid and reaching ten points is very important for the top 24 ranking. Their next match is against Manchester City in England, and they will probably lose that game. However, I still think they will be in the top 24.

Looking at this current standing in the uefa champions league, the both teams that really caught my attention are arsenal and Napoli, like arsenal have been really perfect in the competition so far, 21 points out of a possible of 21, that's incredibly good, considering the types of top teams they have met already, so a big thumb up to them.

As for Napoli, this their current failed performance in the uefa champions league entails my exact sentiment on Antonio conte, that he is a complete failure when it comes to competing in Europe, at Chelsea and other top teams he has managed, his team always struggles and they always get knocked out in the group stage or at the first round, so this their current standings right now at 25th position speaks volume of my sentiment about Antonio's conte team.
