Sometimes, in order to create shortcuts on learning, we develop this kind of mindset to just hire a mentor so that the learning will be easier and faster, without realizing that effective learning will only happen if you strive to learn on your own and you learn by doing. Although it’s never a bad idea if you have the budget for it, but if you aim to be practical, you should never spend some penny unless you start making profits on your own.

While this could be quite an old school, but personally it works for me. So I’ve no doubt that it will also be effective for other determined beginner traders.

Mentor or no mentor, most of us PLEBS will merely be losing our capital instead of preserving it. I believe that our way of thinking about "crypto" should change. It shouldn't be a mere asset to be used for trading. We should actually save the money we have and denominate them in Bitcoin. I'm VERY confident that MANY and MOST of the HODLers of BitcoinTalk will outperform those plebs pretending to be "traders".

I don't know about OctaFX or Exness Trade App and never heard before. If you want to learn trading, you can search for the video on Youtube and find the video you want.

I am not sure if someone want to teach you about trading. Well, you may find that person but he will ask for the fee. Other members already gave you many guidance so you can follow them one by one. But I remind you that learning trading need patience, willing to learn and discipline because it is not easy to understand trading.

Youtube can be the first stop to learn trading. But I suggest you just to invest in Bitcoin and not trading. That will be better because you can avoid the stress from trading because losing money in trading.

Agreed, not everybody needs mentor, you might never know if you're good than the individual you're going to meet for mentorship. Every mentor are like us and don't have any special talents. Trading relies on experience hence when you start gathering enough experience from your failures and that of others, you'll understand how to trade better and starts making a profits. Mentors charge alot for mentorship hence they aren't the best options financially. You have all the information you need available on the internet. What you have to know now is how to search for the information and you can get that without needing a mentor to help you with that. Mentorship isn't a bad idea for those upcoming traders that can afford it but for those that can't, you can still make it on your own.

As much as people think they don't need mentorship, I don't think it's a bad idea because there are people who can not learn on their own. This is enough reason why you will still need people to guide you, because nobody knows it all. Some traders do need a mentor, especially for those who do not have friends to share their trading experiences. Sometimes we find a dead end in trading that causes us to experience consecutive losses in trading. If we have friends to share experiences with, maybe we can find problems and solve them with our friends' experiences. But if we do not have such friends, finding a mentor is certainly not a bad way.

Just go through the forum to read about trading, and if there is anything you don’t understand, then you can easily ask questions here. You mentioned about watching videos on YouTube, am sure thats also going to be useful, you can watch some videos on YouTube for better understanding before you can put everything in practice.

You might receive some personal messages from people that they are going to teach you trading, stay away from those people, anyone that wants to teach you anything, then they should post it in this thread that you create, most of the people that will send you personal message will end up requesting money from you, or some will want to have access to your account, and at the end they will move your money, so stay away from personal message that you will receive.

Don’t advertise that you are needing a trading mentor so badly because that will open opportunities to all scammers waiting in the corner to find victims. Instead, look for a close friend privately wherein you know he is into trading crypto or he is in a crypto community. There are important things to consider,

Presently you'll have to pay the money that you could have been using as your capital for the business you're receiving mentorship for. Instead of paying for that mentorship, it's cheaper to start the trading lessons for free on YouTube or any other channels that you can learn real trading for free. Don't ignore a free mentorship because you stand to benefits alot when the mentor is good at trading and teaching too. Not sure what kind of trading you are into, but if it's forex trading..of which the same skill can be applied to crypto trading then places are a good place to start for free education, but if you looking for premium content like a coach who will guide you on how they do it and how you will trade then you have to invest some money here as time is money.

My advice to find mentors in the real world, which can guide you in real trade, it's better to trade in the crypto market not the same as you see in the media, YouTube Or other sources, you need guidance directly from those who are near you, it's better if I think.

It's actually a good idea to have a trading mentor but this days you can't be taught everything from the scratch cause trading mentor go straight in tutoring you about how to be profitable in your trades and they coach you to follow every guidelines to achieve that, but what I advice is that you can start learning on your own by knowing the tips of either of the trading you tend to go into. It could be crypto, forex or any of them but you need the full knowledge before having a mentor to coach you on that.

Crypto trade takes time to explore the science of trade by the way you look directly from your mentor in the real world.

I would not use the term "Science" here, trading needs more of guesswork and sometimes luck. Technical analysis is a pseudo-science, end of the day your bad luck can lead to you buying a wrong asset.

In other words, having a mentor does not mean they will always be able to teach you something. Mental skills once learnt can be used but in truth trading does need a proper timing for buying and selling and not 2+2 = 4.

Long term holding is the safest method to invest in bitcoin from what I have seen over the years. If that is so, why even think of a mentor?
