There's two side to this issue. One is that while considering a course to undergo, it should be one that's relevant and the other is that it should be one that you will be comfortable doing for the long term. The end product of these two decisions is that you want to make ends meet at the end of your study year and that's going to also become a determing factor that will influence whatever course you're going for. Imagine you're studying a course that's slowly being taken by artificial intelligence, chances are that by the time you're done studying those kind of courses that it has gone obsolete and there is not going to be a place where you're going to easily apply what you've learned to good use.

In an era where AI is getting much more sophisticated, it might actually make some courses increasingly redundant - even things like English, Maths and Science can increasingly be answered almost instantly by sophisticated AI bots and algorithms. In colleges also have study programs on business science and I think this is also one of the best degrees that can be achieved if someone has an interest in business. Basically all forms of knowledge are important and not only limited to information technology or business majors but if we talk about the opportunities available today then choosing these majors is a good choice.

From my personal and my sons experience you can get RICH with any college programs.
I know many people that studied medicine and now they are struggling to earn a basic amount of money (yes they have a good salary but not rich!).
Meanwhile, I know guys that have studied "languages" or "philosophy" and they are now managing big companies as directors or managers.
The best answer is = learn what you like, follow your passion. If you are the best you will pay as the best.
It's not college that will give a "magic wand" for earning. This is just the first step, more to come after or lately when you study there ...

If you are an extraordinary unique personality, then college is contraindicated for you. Many successful people dropped out of college for the sake of their hobbies and achieved considerable heights. But on the other side there are many who also dropped out of school and they achieved nothing. Also, without getting a sought-after and well-paid profession.

On the one hand, IT is developing rapidly and will be in demand in the future even more than now. But partly, this sphere is oferhyped and a lot of people have flocked to this niche. Information management technology I will agree with you but when you say computer science I will definitely not agree with you, firstly what is computer science? It is obvious a very trivial course that except you take further studies to improve on it you are heading no where, although I don't like to discourage people on with educational part to follow but if you have the right mind, exposed to the right opportunities you can make it most courses that was before we had the AI technology now I will advise to go for courses that will be hard for AI to replace humans.

I believe that everything depends on where you live and what is in demand. Doctors in my country have a very low salary because all the income goes into the clinic's owner's pocket and a tiny amount is paid in salaries. Stomatologists earn a lot in my country, everyone opens their clinics and demand is always big, they are always full of people who have tooth problems. Hair transplant clinics also make lots of money because the demand on hair transplant is huge.
Another profession that makes money in my country is informational technologies. Getting a degree in computer science gives you a chance to land a very profitable job. I myself was a student of Computer Science and Engineering. Yes, this program has a lot of demand but there is a lot of skill required here. We neglect our time a lot in student life and we stay away from skill gain due to which we lag behind for a long time and later when our education life ends we suffer from depression. Student life is a very valuable life but those who can value it and use this time well can spend their later life very well but we do not want to accept it at that time and spend our valuable time negligently. I know some people who studied theatre arts, cookery, shoemaking, fashion designing, interior Decorating, and other neglected courses, and are becoming successful in life. So what pays you well, something that involves profits and loss basically a business is what you should study if you want to become rich and for that you don't have to go to college at all but if you do then you may get a head start with little bit more information than others but studying or working will not make us rich though.
