Now I see they are exploring web3, the project is built on Sui Network, the initiative merges automotive legacy with digital innovation by introducing NFTs tied to future vehicle access and a utility token called $DMC. I know NFT hype died a long time ago, but I think this is good one considering they have Build Slot NFTs, which reserves you for the upcoming Alpha 5 electric vehicle.

Besides their token, DMC offers potential real world utility like future vehicle purchases, access to rewards, and exclusive brand collaborations. Maybe who knows you can even buy one of their vehicles using the token, which is good for crypto as you can buy TESLA with bitcoin afaik. Although the token launches on 24th June, with listings and currently ongoing launchpool on bitget.

It’s very obvious that the future of technologies lies in the web3 community, and so to that fact, intelligent inventors are now preying into to take their spot.

For Delorean being in the Web3 space having her own Utility token, it’s  a smart move for me, because in the nearest future crypto will supersede the use of the traditional means of payment.

Just recently there has been a partnership between bitget and MotoGP; showing her support to the racing sports community.

Yea so I see bitget listing this token too with other deposits and staking to earn initiatives, which will follow suits; showing her continuing kin adoption of this car company.

The company you are talking about is, in my opinion, Treasure NFT, which has committed a huge fraud in the past few months and had a lot of investment in it. And the fact is that I also invested a lot in it and later I had to suffer a lot of loss. There is a lot of profit in this because it is a car company, so it must be present in many places in the world, I mean, on some road or inline.

And I think even if it's from Tesla, people will no longer rush to get them. Honestly, this whole $DMC + NFT setup feels more like a cash grab than genuine innovation. Classic brand, sure, but I’ve seen this movie before — remember when Kodak and Atari tried to ride the crypto hype? Didn't end well.

If Delorean really wanted to make noise, I’d expect serious partnerships with core Sui devs like Mysten Labs, or even integrations with payment services like BitPay or Cryptomus. Instead, we’re getting Build Slot NFTs and a Bitget launchpool. No Binance Launchpad? That’s already a red flag.

Cool marketing, but I’ll wait and see if there’s actual utility behind the hype.

but its daily volume trade is only at 400k$ plus. The gap between it and its valuation is quite far.

Yes it's a marketing gimmick to increase visibility amongst the new age buyers. Otherwise, I don't see any usefulness for a car company to launch NFT unless they have a strong brand value like Rolls Royce or Pagani etc. All the best to people who are planning to invest there. Regardless we are talking about a car company or some minor project, one can still lose money because of NTFs if one use them with especulative intentions, specially now the market seems to have moved from them to give attention to other kind of assets.
The major problem I see with this alledged step by this car company is how easily regulators could shut all down and force the company to discontinue the utility of the token with a single court order or lawsuit, and I am very sure the owners of the company will rather ditch their experiment with this token than be fined for a lot of money or even lose licenses and their share of the market in their country and internationally...
Anyways, in the end it is a personal choice where each one of us decide to invest in but we need to consider there is no clear regulation on Web3 or NTFs in most countries, not even un Europe and the United States.

Trust me it won't be worth the price in the future, moreover not everyone follows and loves the automotive industry like the car brands you mentioned. If the goal is to inject price growth from DMC then how can they survive in a highly volatile market? instead of making the token a payment option then cash makes much more sense for now.
