Over 16 billion Google passwords leaked

Think about this for a second. There are 8 billion people on Earth. This breach exposed 16 billion passwords. That's two compromised accounts for every single person alive.

Is your Google account one of them?

Here’s a 4-step security guide:

Well yes I did read on this and now did change my passwords for my Google gmail account. I am not so worried about it because there is not alot of important information you can find with my gmail account.

But for me still it is scary to know that it can happen like this at anytime. My new password is going to be so hard for a scammer to hack into it.

Yehhh, stuff like this happens way too often. Cry
never reuse passwords, always keep’em unique, and turn on 2FA everywhere.

And honestly, with quantum computers on the horizon, cracking passwords could become a joke. Gotta stay ahead while we still can. Roll Eyes

Would 2FA protect from Quantum computing?

Two factor authentication is not an encryption algorithm.  But if your 2FA system relies on public key encryption like tokens or TLS connections, then quantum computers could compromise the system, not the 2FA itself.  Meaning once an AI figures out what 2FA you use, it can just generate its own.
