Trezor safe 3 uses bip39 seed phrase as default word standard, you should have done a little check on reviews.

2 btc addresses? Are talking about taproot and Native segwit addresses? Then yes, it supports taproot(bc1p..) and segwit(bc1q..), you can choose the one you want.

I remember I've set up my Trezor safe 3 for BIP39 seed (I don't remember if it was 12 or 24 words), to keep it compatible with other systems/devices (including my old and discontinued Ledger Nano).

Click on standard seed backup instead of Shamir backup. I do not include that advanced because it supposed not to be there and it is confusing people.

The 20-word phrase you created is Bip-39 compatible.  You can restore it in any hardware or software wallet that supports Bip-39.

Each wallet produces many addresses, far more than just two.  There are also two ways to create additional wallets.  First by creating additional accounts (derivation paths of the same seed phrase) and second by creating a passphrase to extend your seed phrase (i.e. 21st word.)  The first method doesn't add any additional security for the second wallet, but adding an extension to your seed phrase does increase security.

You can use either method to create as many wallets as you like, again, far more than two.

You selected new default SLIP39 with 20 words during the setup, but you can also select BIP39 with 12 or 24 words.
It's easy to reset device and start all over again, with BIP39 this time.

You can a and you should create multiple addresses in Trezor, this is the same for all hardware wallets.
Using one bitcoin address for everything is silly, especially in hardware wallets.

Yes, it's possible to protect/extend your recovery phrase with a passphrase. Note that you've configured a SLIP-39 wallet (Shamir Backup), so you will be accessing a different wallet than a BIP39 wallet, but both protocols support passphrases.

It's important to note that you're using a different standard than BIP39. SLIP-39 (which you are using) isn't compatible with most hardware and software wallets. Below I'll list some wallets that support Shamir Backup (Slip-39):

Hardware wallets other than Trezor that support SLIP-39:
- Keystone 3 Pro
- Passport Prime (not yet released).

Software wallets:
- BlueWallet (import Only)
- Electrum (import Only)
- Sparrow (Import Only)

In other words, you can only recover SLIP-39 wallets in the software wallets mentioned, you can only create wallets in the SLIP-39 standard in hardware wallets that support this feature. This means that if you are thinking of importing the same SLIP-39 backup in hardware wallets such as Ledger, Jade, etc., it'll not be possible, as they aren't compatible with SLIP-39 Shamir backup, you can only use SLIP-39 + Passphrase (hidden wallet) through Trezor or other compatible hardware wallets.

SLIP-39 is not backwards compatible with BIP39, in other words, there is no way to convert a SLIP-39 wallet format to BIP39 or vice versa so that both protocols access the same addresses. So this is a decision that should be carefully considered, BIP39 has greater support and is the standard, but SLIP-39 is gaining more and more acceptance, but I don't believe it will become the standard.

Another important detail that may be interesting for you to make backups strategically is that you can generate a single SLIP-39 backup, and later, you can upgrade to Multi-share Backup (e.g.: 2 of 3). The single-share-backup will remain valid, you can either save it in an ultra-secure location or delete this backup (as long as you have configured it for Multi-share backup), which Trezor itself recommends, but I think it's unnecessary to delete the single backup, since there is a remote chance that you will lose your necessary shares.

Another important detail is that if you have configured your SLIP-39 wallet backup as multi-shared backup, you cannot downgrade to single-share-backup.

Only how they can be related is that BIP39 can be converted to Slip39 if you use a Slip39 tool for it. Any characters or words can be converted to Slip39 words.

To generate a new address (of one type), you will first need to top up the previous address (of one type) with the N-th amount (this can be a symbolic amount).

For example, you have address 1 (segwit). You need address 2 (segwit). To create address 2, the balance of address 1 must be greater than 0.

In this case, you can create address 1 (native segwit) in parallel, but the principle works here as above. In terms of creating address 2 and so on.

Also, create a hidden wallet, which will increase the total number of addresses by 2 times. This hidden wallet will exist in parallel to the main one.

See that by default they show the 20-word Slip 39 pattern with much more visibility, and that you have to search a bit to get the seed with the 12- or 24-word BIP39 pattern

This is incorrect... To generate or rather reveal fresh addresses on Trezor Suite, all you need to do is click on the show full address button and confirm the displayed address on your Safe 3 device ^{[if it matches]}.

I only use the BIP39 standard, I ignore the existence of SLIP-39 shamir backup. I think it's wrong for them to push SLIP39 since, in addition to not being the industry standard, the user will have more work when restoring. Very few wallets support SLIP39.

If SLIP39 were backwards compatible with BIP39, I would recommend using it.

This is not a mistake.
With SLIP39 you can have much better security of your keys, by secure splitting in multiple parts.
Other hardware and software wallets already support Slip39 and more of them will follow in future:

I use Electrum for handling the wallet most of the time.
Trezor suite I use only for updates/installs.

However, on Android I may have to use Trezor Suite Lite now and then, since there I simply don't have enough options... (and afaik none of them can handle coin control).

I was able to create my BIP39 seeds as I needed them, I really liked the whole Trezor process, I just found it a bit difficult at first, as it's different from Ledger
Its buttons are also better to press than my ledger nano S hehe, this is good for making several txs in sequence
