That aside, OP there is something you need to understand literally almost no trader will teach you his strategy full time. Yes it's factual no one wants to share what they studied and understood over a prolonged space of a couple year for just a token of cash.

Mentors are not there to teach you everything. Most of them teach you basics or sometimes go a bit dip into the strategy they use but they can never teach you all. I am not even in support of teaching all, it’ll only make the trader lazy not to learn more and feel they’ve gotten everything in a platter of gold when it is never meant to be so. Trading requires continuous learning, only will that can you grow and learn to be a good trader.

Yes, you are right. We all should be careful with every tool or application. There are many of us who are learning online trading. For them, it is more important to verify the words of an unknown mentor. Because most of the people on social media show fake things. I completely agree with you that everyone in this industry is trying to make money and the chances of finding one in a thousand who works selflessly for the benefit of others are very less. They can treat their own people the same way they do with strangers and no one will come to your aid without self-interest.

As you say, the purpose of a consultant is not to help you without a share of their profits. When I was drowning in many problems to get my alternative source of income, I sought help from my own people but they did not give me the right advice but they discouraged me. Whereas giving them the right advice would have been very beneficial for me. I think the main reason for not giving the right advice is that they do not like to see others earning more than themselves.

It would be wiser to do your own research and verify the advice from multiple trusted consultants and apply it in your workplace rather than getting advice from someone alone. Traders who trust their mentor and those traders that are not really interested in having their own knowledge because, seriously, if they need their own knowledge, they should start learning what the mentor is teaching easily.
