It is fun and it is much easier. Games bring you dopamine and makes you addicted. You do not need to physically do anything but type in your keyboard and sit in front of your computer all day.

It's hard and we are improving different things. In video games, you are improving their skills by playing more and more. You are buying them skins etc. In real life, say you want to lose weight you will actually need to physically exercise and eat healthily. It takes a lot more time in real life.

It's fun, I guess, that's why. I can't think of any other reason. The only reason people play video games is that they enjoy doing them. There is nothing wrong with playing games, but of course, an excess of anything is a bad thing, after all.

It's the opposite of fun, that's why, lol. Most people find it boring when they work on building themselves, having to do things as a routine only so that they can stay fit and healthy, and so on. About making things easy? I guess none. It's all about your interests. Some people will do things about themselves because they enjoy doing them, and some people play games and other stuff because they love doing that, and they barely do anything specific only for themselves, physically, I mean.

But it still depends on a person’s mindset and upbringing, if someone grew up spoiled, always getting what they wanted, then of course they’ll naturally lean toward what’s easy and enjoyable.

In a way it’s both our parents' fault and our own as that kind of mindset is hard to change especially once we’ve matured. At that point, the mind tends to be more closed off to change, and we just stick with what feels comfortable.

This is part of life moreso there's this slogan I usually hear of right from my tender age that " All work and no play make jack a dull boy" what this simply means is that there's time for everything both and this are what we ought to encounter at every stage of life, which is why some people invest their time in things that makes them happy and fulfilled so they don't mind spending a huge amount on games and all that  but you can't blame them when they don't transfer that same energy to when they need to improve on themselves.

It is not that it is difficult or extremely hard to commit to developing ourselves. It is just that most of us are not yet ready to show commitment in the right direction.

It's easy to level up in game characters because everything is programmed in the gaming world, all you have to do is follow the right direction, do what is needed but actually that isn't how life works.

Real life is not programmed, you can actually be doing now and still not get it completely right with the result. Someone can just do something no one believes in and they blow up in real life.

You fight with weak monster, you will gain exp even though small, still it makes you to level up. If there are two people grind the same character to level 99, one takes 30 days, and another one takes a year, everything are same.

It's different with ourselves, if you learn a math book that for first year primary school, if you repeat it for 100x will you mastered math? nope, repeating the same thing will not make you level up. Not to mention we have limited time, so it affect your mental that could distract you.

It is easier to spend hours on social media watching pictures and videos of others who eventually make money from views.  But it is difficult to spend time learning how to create content and make money.  Students find it easier to read fictional books than to spend the same time on academic books. The difference is that one of them is for entertainment while the other is boring and requires attentiveness.

Everyone wants to always have a good time, but we cannot achieve success by just relaxation. The people who finally break free from their comfort zone battle to overcome the desire to have fun. They try to find pleasure in hard work because they want to achieve the stated objectives.

Video games hook us with rapid progress, a clear aim & foreseeable prize. I will say it makes life messy. why?

Cause when you come in real life, you will see that progress is so slow, your goals vague, your rewards delayed. And you will not find any in‑game level-up button. Our brains hunger for those feelings hit, and leveling IRL hardly ever gives it.

Once I was grinding a game raid for days, I was feeling like a legend ! As soon as I gave the same focus to learn guitar for a long 12 hours, but it suck me . why? Virtual games rain experience points and loot right away. In real life, you will be lucky to get 1XP/hour, really sad.

You could hack it easily, you could break your task into bite sized quests and train your brain into think you are leveling up by completing those tiny quests. You could monitor your progress. Giving small rewards could be another option. So what felt boring once will become addictive to you.

I think it is something that most of a lot of people may feel but not say a word out loud. I believe that the question of getting so easily obsessed in games is that the rewards are evident, quick and always close to your reach. You also know what to do and you receive instant feedback such as level up, unlock, or kill a boss. It is not so in the real life. Things are painfully slow, the aim of things not clear and the rewards come too slow or in some cases they never come when they are to your expectations.

It is also helpful to create regular frameworks and eliminate temptations. Time discipline. Allot time in 24 hours for work, exercise, family, worship and joining friends whose conversations are positive, as well as having fun in a self-chosen way.
Don't talk too much or go into silent mode. After work, go home for corporate workers.

Because what they are doing is enjoying themselves. If we enjoy things that can raise our level in the real world, I don't think it's difficult.

During one weekend, I didn't go out so I spent the whole day at home scrolling through social media until the end of that day it was later at night I just come to the realization that I actually didn't achieve any meaningful  thing that day rather than scroll online and laugh at funny contents, then I knew that it is easy to waste time on meaningless thing while find it difficult to spend that same time on meaningful things.
