The regret of early Investors or the regret you get for procrastinating

A lot of persons taught at first that Bitcoin has no future or has nothing to offer and nowhere to go ,but today look at what is happening, it has spread throughout the world rapidly with everyone wanting to have it .
Most of the early Bitcoinners never taught Bitcoin will grow to this level and so they hurriedly sold off their Bitcoin .

The value of Bitcoin was not high at all but comes with a very high risk which made some of the investors sees it has not worth the risk to be taken because most account of the exchanges were hacked which allow users funds lost and their information to be stollen.

 The P2P trading also was very risky because of lack of trust between the parties of the transaction, since they have limited ways to get their funds,lack of security was a very big challenge to the users in other to secure their funds, password and seed phrase, but now all these corrections have been put in place to allow Bitcoin easily access the world, for those that were patience with all the happenings in Bitcoin are enjoying their reward today,
The early buyers are hundred times profitable now and for those that sold theirs are highly regretting their actions, I do not regret any having Bitcoin today.

Regrets won't matter much because in the end we still have to move on. What I mean is that although we are allowed to regret something, in the end we have to move on because if we only lament what has happened then we will only be trapped with memories of the past that never end, which also does not make us grow.

I understand we must feel the same way where the thought of “why not buy bitcoin long ago” is always there but in the end things like this cannot be changed and it would be better to focus on the future than just having to focus on the past that will never be repeated.

We can still buy bitcoin even though it's not what it used to be but in the end if there is seriousness about wanting to own bitcoin or invest for the long term in bitcoin everything can still be realized because it's never too late, there's no word buying now is too expensive to buy if the focus is for the future then we can do it from today without regretting the past.

That is true, but it's human nature to most of time feel that regret before we can moved on. it's going to be a life long lessons for this early investors and then sell and didn't have the patience. Maybe because they just jump on the bandwagon that year and so they think that it's enough for them to make that kind of money.

And to be honest, no one really knows what will the future holds, not even Satoshi himself. One thing that Satoshi might have known is that Bitcoin might be the future so he sticks to that vision but never seen it coming that it will be used as what we are currently doing, speculative assets, store of value, hedge against economic crisis or even "sound money".

I had one friend who bought at the top at 20k and then it dropped a fair amount and he sold, and after that point it went up.

Now my plan is to buy small amounts and just hold.

You may be right but I dont agree with you. Every man or woman can actually feel regrets because they mixed a good opportunity, the same person is expected to grab the opportunity if another chance is giving, but few people wont, the question is why? I will never blame this person, yes a Bitcoin is $2 at the time but what about his survival? That amount might be a lot for him to survive at the time, would you rather get yourself killed for something that you are sure will worth hundreds of thousands in the future?

For this to possible you have to consider your present situation, how you are living life, it doesn't have to be perfect but you should be able to feed yourself and pay your bills, if you can't do that then you will get into Bitcoin for quick profits and sell again.

Do you know what you may just be pained just for a while if you invest and lost your money than not taking the risk at all, and you miss the opportunity, you may feel regretful for a lifetime if the opportunity is as big as this one in the op post.
Am saying this because their was an opportunity I miss when I was a teenager, though it's not about money, but I still feels the regret of not taking the risk up till now.
Additionally I have also heard of peoples story and their regret, that is why I came with the conclusion that we feel more regret  for the actions we didn't take, than the ones we took.

We all have had such decisions we made to sell or exchange btc for fiat or buy something directly. If we check the value of those weekly btc earned from campaign and see what they are worth now then we can also see a huge difference.

But the point is will that be a regret? I don't believe you will have something to sort your financial needs out and you hold tight to it to risk your health or life.

Except you sell your btc for frivolities without proper utilization of it then you can regret but If you have used your btc to help yourself on your urgent needs, I don't expect that to be regretful.

However, there is always opportunity to DCA on btc. In 2017 December when bitcoin was between $19,000/$20,000, it was believed that it won't cross that range but today we can see the price running comfortably in 6 digits since this year. Buying the dip is better way to acquire more bitcoin for dumping at the top.

Well, you are right that it's not too late to buy Bitcoin. However, if you will ask me if I will be buying Bitcoin right now and will hold for the long term, I would immediately say no.

I'm pretty sure that isn't the only person who experienced the same thing, and it's completely fine because back then, Bitcoin was a new technology. Bitcoin back in 2011 is just the same as those new meme coins that are popping out of nowhere. They aren't the same in terms of the project, but the trust of people are the same. They can't simply trust a coin that's just new, and those who risked their money buying Bitcoin back then are the ones that are reaping the most profits... only if they held until now, but if they sold very early then they'll feel disappointed for sure.

The right time to buy Bitcoin is during the bear market. That's the time where intelligent investors are buying Bitcoin for the long term. For me, there's no benefit in dwelling in the past it's the past already, and we can't control it anymore. What we can control now is the present and our future.

If the current Bitcoin price is the lowest and continues to surge to a high level, of course it is all the deepest regrets, but if the price of Bitcoin drops deeper deeper, of course the umpteenth time.

But at least we can still do activities in the crypto market by conducting trading or investment in the long run, if we believe in the price of bitcoin can penetrate $ 1 million.

For me in the crypto market there is no regret while you believe and the pahan with the way it works Bitcoin.

Is it not even better late than not?
I came into this crypto journey (Bitcoin precisely) in around two years now and then, Bitcoin was traded within the range of $30K + but because I have realized my mistake not to have invested in that earlier time, I choose not to keep it repeated just like that of Nick having dieing inside of him not to had invested as at the 2011 when he had the opportunity.

To the glory of my decision on investing in the Bitcoin which I might call it lately, I have made so much profits that does not seem like I was even late. Or course this can be applicable to anyone investing on Bitcoin comes in anytime.
The secret going to be behind the success is a long term investment goal as the case maybe, the market is volatile that can not be predicted. So what are those behind crying out loud of their regrets waiting for when they can actually fix their flaws up?

Impressively Bitcoin is at $110K and comparing to it $30K as at the two years ago, it has increased over 226%. So it is obvious that i have made a lot of profits.
There just too much good promising potentials in investing on Bitcoin which could benefits all of it holders. Atleast, the anticipation of seeing new ATHs in the nearby is something worth need to take part investing.

Indeed, in the end this will be a normal condition and it is nature but in the end most of us certainly realize that for now there are some people who seem to be more lamenting the past and making it as if it were an end but whereas if we want to make it an experience then of course we will do things more differently such as when we were not previously in bitcoin which is used as a regret then of course the choice to fix it is to be in bitcoin because it is a regret. But did he really did that? I mean Laszlo Hanyecz expressing his regrets. I guess not , he made his legendary history out of it and today. The world of Bitcoin and the entire crypto space acknowledged and celebrates him annually. We also can't argue it that the 10,000 bitcoins was all in his bag.
I guess that was really great of him not to be compared with the folks who're just stagnant regretting without taking drastic decisions of buying at their realistic times just like that due of his his 14 years of barrenness regretting and still not owning a dime of bitcoin yet.

Besides Laszlo Hanyecz never spit a word of regrets not to had invested in the first place. So even if he has to regret, it should be a course of him selling on the poor exchange but that still not the point of contact but if there have to be a lesson extracted on his action with the exchange of 10,00/ Btc for just two pizza's, then that's of the key note that long term goal is the way to maximize our profits on investing in bitcoin.

I support you there's no time that is too late it's part of the human nature to do mistakes and learn from it the only mistake that can be attributed to us is the mistake that we don't learn anything from so forgetting about the past and looking forward is the best thing that we can do and not still remain in the guilt of not  investing in Bitcoin when the price was very very cheap and affordable.

I honestly believe that every one of us has their own story to share regarding their regrets into selling their BTCs early.  While it may be painful to recount and recall these memories, those are just the lessons that we live by in order to prevent history from happening ever again.

Like what some have mentioned in this thread, the best time to purchase BTC would be the time when you can afford it. Likewise, you can never be too late in purchasing BTC and making it as your long-term investment.

At the end of the day, we use the price history index of BTC as the basis of our plan for long-term HODLing. If it's price skyrocketed in the past, what stops it from doing the similar trend a few years from now?
