Am very sure that when it comes to economy, the world believed that US is the first followed by China, India and Russia and these are the same countries we know doesn't aligned well with the US government and policies in global settings and world standards, BRICS in particular to cover the remaining countries.

Trump said India and Russia are operating a dead economy, but I can't still understand what a dead economy interpret in this context, maybe they should have advanced more than where they are or a kind of attack intimidating on their current level of economic advancement, while for sure, India and Russia are fast growing economy and part of what we could call a threat even to the US both now and the future, not to even consider for China and others.

This is an economic discussion and not intended to attack or speak against anyone, drop your opinion on how US, India and Russia economy has been far fetch before then and now, let's discuss about the economy growth and developments and not political attack please.

You can hear what Trump had to say about Russia and India economy. https://x.com/WatcherGuru/status/1950772923662565523?t=I53mPF4Uqx1tdgPq8rB4wg&s=19

You shouldn't always take what Trump says seriously. Russia and India don't have a dead economy. India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, and there are projections that the country will experience 6.5% GDP growth. And the country is a major trading partner of the US. Trump's attacks are to put pressure on India to stop trading with Russia, thereby forcing the Kremlin to accept a ceasefire in Ukraine.

But the US has the economic power to reduce the growth of the indian economy since the US is their biggest foreign export market. It is predicted that the 25% tariff on Indian exports to the US will affect the economy of India.

Russia has been able to survive with multiple sanctions placed on it by the US and European nations. The country has developed a sanctions-proof economy because it has realigned with China and India.  But with Trump's tariff on India, Russia's economy will be adversely affected.

India is definitely a fast-growing economy, and also the biggest challenger against Chinese dominance as a world exporting nation. But Russia? We can't be sure about that because their campaign against Ukraine might be a massive cost in their economy's long term trajectory. It might be OK today, but the effects might be felt years later, especially if they haven't actually taken over Ukrainian territory.

Although, they would become a very powerful nation if they actually occupy Ukraine because it would make them control about 35% of the source of the world's carbohydrates.

You can get some idea on here https://statisticstimes.com/economy/projected-world-gdp-ranking.php Since they list the top countries and also their statistics.

Also its seems that Trump is downplaying the capabilities of those countries  or maybe he's conditioning the mind of people that US still great. But the fact is China , India and Russia is doing good this will be a huge treat for US dominance in the market.

Maybe the reason on why tariff impose is to control the growth of those country mentioned. But lots of countries can form an alliance and it will be lead by China, India or even Russia then USA will be more in trouble.

The US's position in the Global Economic Rankings remains the world leader based on nominal GDP, with an estimated value of around US$30.5 trillion in 2025.
https://netvaluator.com/en/top-10-countries-with-the-highest-predicted-gdp-in-2025/

Although the United States dominated world trade for decades, China has finally overtaken the United States. China is now moving to displace the dominance of global financial institutions like the IMF and the World Bank by actively providing infrastructure loans to many developing countries, using the yuan as a means of allowing dollars to flow into China.

But it's not just the data on paper, what keeps the United States economy in the lead is its hegemony and dominance in global politics and the world's macro economy. Starting with military dominance, a country can hardly build an economy without guaranteed security and defense. Clearly, America still reigns supreme in military dominance. Its military-industrial complex contributes nearly a quarter of the country's foreign exchange. In terms of military budgets, even the countries with the largest military budgets combined still can't surpass the United States.

Next is the dominance of the dollar as a currency. The US dollar is the foreign exchange reserve of the majority of countries worldwide. 80% of global trade transactions still use the dollar. The swift code banking system still uses the American network. Trump's sentiment towards BRICS is not due to trade or tariff issues but the dedollarization agenda promoted by Russia and China.

Data currently indicates that the US remains the leader with nominal GDP and PPP GDP significantly higher than India and Russia. Going forward, even if India maintains its rapid economic growth, it will still struggle to overtake the US. Meanwhile, Russia, looming over sanctions and military action, will struggle to displace India. Ultimately, India will only challenge the United States with its demographic dividend, digitalization, economic reforms, and increased service exports. India will remain a middle-income country, despite its large overall economic size. Meanwhile, Russia, with stagnant economic growth and vulnerable to sanctions, is unlikely to advance unless it diversify its economy and restructure its geopolitical policies and geostrategic diplomacy.

Now if we look at the economic situation of countries in the world in 2025, this is one of the source links that we can base our analysis on,

https://www.investopedia.com/insights/worlds-top-economies/#:~:text=Top%2010%20Countries%20by%20Nominal

And if that's what Trump said, it's as if we don't know Trump's style, most of what he says now is simply not true,
because most of what he promised before didn't happen.

The world has evolved to a level where you can't simply state which economy is the best among others. There is no single economy that is outrightly better than the rest in all areas. When examining economies, we don't just consider GDPs alone. The fact that one country has a higher GDP than another does not necessarily mean it has a better economy. You also have to look at the cost and standard of living in that economy, the per capita income, the unemployment rate, the inflation rate, and you also have to look at the GDP growth rate.
The annual growth rate of one country can be 3.1% for example, and yet their GDP may be smaller than that of a country with a growth rate of 1.4%. There are many other things to look at, like the cost of labour and housing, etc.
So it's difficult to simply say one economy is better, except it is better in all or most sectors.

Honestly, there is just that stereotype about India that the entire country is incredibly poor. While there are still huge income disparity and there are still a lot of poor parts in India, there are some parts of the country where it is fast growing. Their IT industry is growing fast. There is a lot of talented and smart people in India but I do not think we can collectively say that they have a good economy since some parts are still lacking. Russia on the other hand seems to be doing well if we consider that they are literally in war.

Anyway what Trump may have said about being a dead economy may just be politically driven. When we say dead economy, I assume it is unchanging and not growing. Which I do not think India and Russia are.

He'll say things that are nasty to these countries because he's not from there, he's the POTUS and these countries are his opponents in many industries. And so, it's normal for a leader like him to say such to the countries that he dislike whether they are having a stable or growing economy. Who remembers when the war of Ukraine and Russia started and US cut off all financial services and partnerships (if there's any) in them? that's a huge cut off to Russia's economy and even put them on a sanction. But did they suffer with that? I don't think so. That speaks on how it went for Russia.

Trump, is a politician and any perceived opponent is seen as a threat so I'm not surprised that he can talk down on India, and Russia, to make a point about the united state's superiority in global economy. In truth no one can take it from America, they remain the leading in economic and military strength in the world which is very clear so it's not necessary to rub it on the faces of other countries. I believe that if the BRICS amalgamation that the other strong world economies like China, India, and Russia, are a part of were to solidify they will be a strong opposition to the US world dominance on economic and military strength.

The US economy still remain the lead and will continue to remain the lead for a very long time. China, Russia and India have big economies but even if you combine the entire economy of the BRICS nation, they are no match to the US economy. It does not matter what Donald Trump says regarding the Indian and Russian economies being dead, the reality is always very clear that the US is in another level with verious sectors of the country well developed and the economy robust. This is the reason why no matter how bad their president is, they always come out top when rating the economies of nations since theirs is driven by the private sector made of big industrial and tech giants.

That's true, the effect of the ongoing war with Ukraine is really a big blow on Russian and that alone is affecting its economy growth and development, such could also be as part of the reason they couldn't intervene on Iran-Israel war and US did so, Russian made lot of importations these time around than their exports in terms of the economy GDP, i think they have experienced a decline a little bit.

You shouldn't always take what Trump says seriously. Russia and India don't have a dead economy. India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, and there are projections that the country will experience 6.5% GDP growth.

I understand that some of Trump's words may be intimidating a times, but we should always look at the reality as the focal view on matters like this and when we are comparing to what he said, in the world, we all know that for now, we can vividly point out at Indian economy on a fast rising pace, because sometimes when i look into the rate they are producing and engaging their citizens on different sectors, you will be surprised to see the way India has been locally fabricating advanced economical productions and exporting them, even to the extent that in my country here, we have so many imported items from India after the likes of China.

Now i don't know if India as at current time still depends solely on US being their major supplier, i think they have been up to something.

The language in that tweet was clearly indicating a deep desperation. Trump knows very well how many severe problems the US economy is facing to the point that if we want to call any economy "dead" it would be US economy not Indian economy (I don't mention Russian economy because it is a "sick" wartime economy not a normal one; although it is definitely not dead).

Is US economy leading? Not even close! The largest and strongest economy in the world has been the Chinese economy for a couple of years now and they are increasing their distance rapidly.
With the massive $37 trillion national debt and trillions of dollars of government budget deficit that are growing rapidly as the US regime keeps starting wars overseas, the US economy is in a worse wartime economy than the Russian economy even though Americans aren't being bombed!!!

As a matter of fact, all these wars US regime has been starting are because the US economy is in a very terrible shape. They are trying to destroy everyone else that is already ahead (and there many apart from China that are ahead) so that they once again push past all of them!
Imagine a race where one of the runners (USA) has fallen behind, but instead of running faster to reach those ahead, he decides to pull out a gun and start shooting them in the leg so that they can no longer run and he can run past them Shocked

India is definitely a fast growing economy and a familiar face in the world. But are they at their best? Are they at their expected level? India's politics are the worst compared to the political positions of the US, China, India and Russia. Politically they are at the lowest level. That is why their economy cannot reach the expected level. India's geographical position for production is better than other countries. Even they produce enough, but almost most of the money in their economy is looted by the leaders and instead of focusing on production and discovery, they are encouraged to fight against each other.

I think if half of the looting and corruption in the name of India's politics is stopped, then they will become a threat to the US and China. Even in India, US policies are quite popular and most of the leaders of the country are guided by the US. So it will never be possible for India to become a threat to the US. But they are busy competing with China, because China is an economic threat to both the US and India.

The United States of America is still considered the world's largest economy, but are they really strong? The way Trump is talking at the moment, I don't think his country's economy is as strong as we think. It may be difficult to assess their real condition because of some big companies, but in reality, if we look at the $37 trillion debt, then it is easy to understand their real strength. Due to such a huge debt burden, the budget deficit has started. The lives of those who are in the middle class are becoming miserable. The number of homeless people is gradually increasing. Even though Trump talks about strength, it does not prove that strength. If this continues, the economic situation will only get worse. There is a global discussion about the US stock market, which is why even though the market is fine, the strength of people in general is decreasing because inflation is taking away that strength. You will never be able to show your capabilities by being burdened with various debts.

US is numero uno in more ways than one currently despite Trump trying to wreck it consistently like a buffoon while Russia is number 2 followed by China and so on and so forth in my opinion.

It's hilarious seeing some people take what Trump whines about regularly in a serious manner. Dude is a meme just like Biden earlier. Smh!

Russia's case is unique, and should not be in thesame category with India, but I think Russia is too humble to pride herself as a far better country/economy than India. Russia even sees African countries as equal partners. I think this is part of what is working for her, both militarily, technologically and economically.

In regards to economy, Russia case is quite unique such that no one expected her to do do so well in the face of heavy sanctions from the West. She grew so fast and even went further up the economic ladder. No nation on earth can do so well on its own when face with such sanctions. Many western countries left Russia expecting her to suffer greatly and collapse yet she flourish even better than it was in the past. Russians filled the void left by the foreign companies, and they are doing really well.

Russia economy is booming, and what is happening to the economy is a miracle. The economy is very much alive, even more alive than any economy in the world regardless how diverse their production is. I belive Russia can sustain itself technologically in virtually all areas, as long as all the natural resources needed for production can be imported and extracted locally. If she is doing it in very sophisticated or technical areas, why not simple tech? But I think Russians focused more on their area of strength such as nuclear, space, etc. Others are left mostly for China due mostly to price competition.

US is unique on its own way. and can do really well as long as the right things are done, and I believe Trump is trying his best to do what is right. But he can't do it on its own unless via miracle as he is working against forces at the top of the system that want him to fail

Trump has done immense damage and has sped up the decline of the American economy. India is definitely not a dead economy and the tech sector at least is taking a lot of jobs from places like Europe and the USA. China in many ways is already more advanced economically than America, it has full supply chains from the smallest components and extracts all the rare metals directly.

America was losing it's advantage slowly, but the current president is seriously undermining it further. The list of missteps is almost too big to keep track on, but the worst is his bullying of allies who will likely be looking elsewhere in future.

It isn't the first time trump is raging when other countries refuses the deal.

Remember japan with its rice shortage and the fact that they denied buying from the US and some others?

It's basically normal thing right now to see trump mad about the countries that refuses his deal, a pretty common thing to happen nowadays.

You can hear what Trump had to say about Russia and India economy. https://x.com/WatcherGuru/status/1950772923662565523?t=I53mPF4Uqx1tdgPq8rB4wg&s=19
Russia has demonstrated impressive resilience and adaptability in sustaining economic growth, even under heavy sanctions and intense geopolitical pressure. With all sincerity, I doubt the U.S.  especially under Trump’s administration  could have handled such prolonged external challenges with the same level of composure or strategy.

As for India, it's not hidden that it's one of the fastest-growing economies globally, especially in areas like technology, innovation, and digital infrastructure. Labeling either of these nations as having a dead economy is clearly more of a political statement than an accurate economic assessment.
