Lately i have read lots of news having lots of variants of malware being release, from just a software having malware in it, to messenger, telegram discord, stealing credentials, before its only data now its the money straight from wallets with funds, browser, reading some malware are just being rented as a service and then using by bad people, having percentage of the loot they get, we are now dealing with this kind of attacks that is more of a pandemic in digital world.

We have been seeing this daily, billions of dollars stolen every year, since forever. It's nothing new.

It's pretty obvious that as crypto markets grows, so is the attack on it.

So even in the pandemic if you will remember, every pandemic page was copied by the cyber criminals and used it to their advantage to download something that turns out to be  a malware or trojan.

Yes, going to be a cat and mouse game for us crypto enthusiast, and the attacks are going to be sophisticated. Every exchange will be a target, and every malware will be very hard to detect until it's too late.

Having a dedicated airgapped hardware wallet locking your coins away from your smartphone and computer or anything with online access will keep you safe, many victims played themselves out.

Some intentionally made themselves vulnerable because of greed while some click on the wrong links, like what are they looking for? Even after clicking on the wrong link and it request for you to link your wallet, why the wallet that consist of all your life savings?

I am not a smart dude myself and I am not blaming everyone but there are a high numbers of victim that got hunted because of their own recklessness.

Yes, malware like these were only scratching the surface of this problem. Malware has become an industry of its own, with “malware-as-a-service” lowering the entry barrier so even non-technical criminals can jump in, and as long as theres real money flowing through digital wallets, browsers, and messaging apps, the incentive for attackers will keep growing, so I think we will definitely see more sophisticated, targeted, and widespread campaigns in the near future, which makes personal security habits and proactive defenses more important than ever.

Yeah because there are cybercriminals create many malwares depends on where they want to attack. This is the reason on why we must be knowledgeable enough to determine those possible attacks they made so that we can assure for ourselves that we will never get infected by this harmful software.

With the advancement of artificial intelligence, it is now easier and faster to develop software and other tools that are used to steal money and other assets online. This has increased the number of scam software and the techniques they apply. There is a need to always advance our knowledge about protecting our devices and ensure we adhere to and implement security measures.

It has always been repeated that keeping large amounts in a device that is connected to the Internet is risky. Having different wallets for diverse purposes is essential. Taking time to verify the source of any information sent to your devices will also be helpful.

Characters who keep millions in hot wallets, those who wake up in the middle of the night, read a message and connect their wallet to some stupidity that sucks everything they have and various geniuses who brag about their trading crypto experiences are actually easy targets for easy money.

Those who invest money in cryptocurrencies without actually knowing what they are doing will continue to be victims, I think that nothing will change in the near future.

Those who invest money in cryptocurrencies without actually knowing what they are doing will continue to be victims, I think that nothing will change in the near future.

The problem is they never learn, those who brag about their money sometimes are just being use, i have seen some videos in youtube that are being use to attract people and clicking the link, they copy or use the video then attach a link there, and a new user tend to click it, without knowing that it will lead to his wallet being compromise, as long as there are people who falls from this kind of attacks they will continue and grow.

If you think you've seen it all, wait till we get into the peak of the bull season. It's nothing new. I've observed this pattern for a few years now. It's often rampant when there's FOMO in the market and price is surging. Hackers and scammers go to work to perfect their strategies the same way investors hone their investment skills. As investors are getting down to business, so also are those criminal elements scheming how to steal from investors. Hackers (not ethical hackers, though) are folks who should be engaging their skills in something productive and positive instead of stealing from others. Again, I think our people should avoid downloading links that aren't from authentic sites.

Yes I believe we will seeing more of this attack. Hackers are getting wiser every day and they will always come up with new tricks. There has been a persistent increase in the rate of cyber crime hence the need for organisation and individuals to seek for regular updates on cyber related issues, how to protect there data and be able to detect vulnerability, run malwares analysis in other to be able to assure the safety of there data , assets etc. so there  should always be need to be aware of the latest threats, have the right security tips on malware will really be of great help here.

Basically, most types of cyber attacks exploit the negligence of experienced victims, while inexperienced or beginner victims, the attackers exploit their ignorance. So, I think from these two things, we can determine our own situation. If we are a beginner, then increase our reading references related to security, and anyone's experience related to security issues. Meanwhile, if we are experienced, then we should avoid negligence or carelessness. In essence, we must always be vigilant and skeptical of any information we find, especially information that is very interesting (seemingly potentially profitable), because it is usually a bait. Other than that, I also think that all kinds of attacks will always exist, only with various modes to deceive potential victims, and if we find something suspicious, then it would be better if we discuss it before taking any action.

Of course, no matter what malware or virus says, they can steal data and also steal your crypto. Recently, I saw a Telegram group, where they were giving away accounts of various premium tools. They do that through various cookies. That is, they collect your browser cookies and if you paste them into someone else's browser, they can access your account, until you change your password. Similarly, it can happen with crypto, most people use their wallets through extensions. So if their system is attacked by malware, their wallets will definitely get hacked.

And of course, hackers or spammers will also update as the days go by. But I think the best solution is to be careful and not click on unfamiliar links.

yeah, we are going to see more of it and it's probably gonna get more sophisticated than what we are seeing now. unless people start taking cyber security more seriously, people falling victim to malwares and phishing attacks will increase as scammer/hackers becomes more cunning at what they do.

What did you find so surprising about that?
Those malwares are developed by people who are nothing but thieves. In the past, they designed malware and trojans to hack users’ credit cards and bank accounts.
Nowadays, things have changed just a bit. The attackers are the same and their goal is still the same which is to steal money from other people. The difference is that they are now targeting crypto users.

hackers are always looking for the smallest openings to take advantage of people and they are mostly using socially media as a bait to catch a lot of people and even clicking of unnecessary links.

And it will be better to use good anti virus And been conscious of everything is like the biggest and if you are using browsers like Chrome once the link is not safe it will give a notification and block the site until you want to advance.

A lot of things can be avoided so we should not even think that all this will end anytime soon this guy's are coming up with different strategies to sweep people's funds.
