Hey, me and my cofounder founded crypto lending platform(fiat loans backed by crypto). I designed everything, talked to LPs, Lawyers, recruited devs and design team. All that.

My coufounder backed out when he saw how much compliance and legal work there would be needed to operate in the US(I wanted to go with EU first).

I'm an engineer(ex Stripe[project lead], a founding dev at p2p crypto exchange), I've recruited and managed teams/projects before.

I'm looking for next project to work on where I could join as ops/manager/head of product or something like that.

What companies should I hit up that would be interested in my experience?
How should I bite this?

You can aim to tell your story, focusing more on the outcomes, less on titles, and back it with a tiny portfolio: one PRD, a sequence diagram, a risk matrix, and a launch plan.

Aim at EU-first lenders/on-ramps, custody or RWA teams under MiCA, skip recruiters. You can also for example DM founders with a two-week paid sprint to prove your worth.

This is an impressive background and you've single handedly navigated the most complex phases of early-stage startup building. Well, your cofounder backing out isn't a failure on your part it's a powerful filter that revealed your resilience and their risk tolerance. Many great founders hit a similar wall at some point but somehow pivot.

I think you should focus on companies where your specific pain points are their current priorities but ensure that they are well funded startups in the fintech, DeFi, or infrastructure space. Lastly you can apply to jobs on other places like LinkedIn, while sending emails or pitch to potential employees.

Wish you success!

I'd look beyond pure-crypto too. EU-first neobanks, BaaS providers, custody shops, regtech / KYC vendors, even boring payment processors are all trying to bolt on "crypto unit" skills without blowing themselves up on compliance.

Your pitch to them is basically something along the lines of "I've been through the legal meat grinder already, so I know where the bodies are buried and how to ship anyway."

You should know better, and what you are capable of, so you should know where your skills will lead you. You can create a service thread for your skill here, post your website and business links (e.g., LinkedIn), what you can do, and your experience.
It's easy to find a company or organization to work for if you approach it professionally.

Why are you giving up on your current project, esp when you have done so much work on it?

I will suggest you look beyond crypto too, unless you want your niche to entirely be crypto. Even though I am a web3 Product Manager I still have space for an e-learning platform which am currently working on. Just my thought though
