Legal issues are more important with them and legal problems are biggest concerns of banks, not what happen with their bank customers' investment in either gold or bitcoin. If their customers don't use bitcoin as collaterals of loans from banks, it's just fine with banks.

Because at the end, they only need to get fees from customers, and if they provide products that allow users to use their bank services for buying, selling bitcoins, it's just good for their bank system and their business revenue. Profit or loss, it's customer responsibility, not banks.

I believe that if legality for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in your nation is well, banks in your country will change their policy and strategic development for customers soon.

While bitcoin has growth potential, its high volatility is a form of risk, and not everyone is willing to accept that. I think governments/banks are still hesitant to adopt bitcoin because of that, as it doesn't meet their criteria.

There are many banks that have very high criteria and they prioritize customer safety over profits. So it is no surprise these banks still refuse to adopt bitcoin.

Like the strategic bitcoin reserve in the US, some states have passed and started investing, but why are there still many states that veto it? The simple reason is that bitcoin's volatility does not meet the state's criteria when choosing an investment asset. They cannot ignore the constitution and the safety of the people, which are their top priorities, for the sake of profit.

I guess these local banks are already aware of the huge potentials of bitcoin, but for sure they can't take a sudden move accepting bitcoin because whatever the government says, they are required to follow, otherwise their banks will end up operation closed. That is why even if bitcoin's demand is increasingly higher these days, still local banks are still closed to the idea of bitcoin. They are also just taking advantage of crypto and Bitcoin, just like we are. If bitcoin only brings privacy without profit. Perhaps many of us would not participate in this market either.
