With President Donald Trump of the United States of America threatening to send military troops to Nigeria . All in the name of fighting Islamic terrorist groups is one call that African countries should not take lightly because, critically looking at the issue on ground Nigeria has been facing a security challenge that is a known fact and everyone both Christians and Muslims have been affected as thousands of lives has been lost due to the activities of these extremist groups. Government has tried their best in making sure that the activities of these groups are stoped but somehow these terrorists still have their way.

I am not supporting terrorism but for any nation to threaten another nation in this twenty first century is uncalled for and should be condemned, looking critically at the activities of these terrorists group's it's clear that they are heavily sponsored by external forces which the united states of America have been fingered to be among as there have been claims made by different people at different times. This is a wake up call for all African countries to wake up and start building a future for their nations and unborn generation because, I don't think that in today's world that the united states of America can threaten to send their military to a country like North Korea, China or even Russia no matter any security challenges that these nations will encounter. The reason is simple these nations has all built their military and even have Nuclear weapons just like American do. Because just like Nigeria the United States of America also has their own security challenges like the school shootings that commonly happens in the United States of America, were terrorists will go on a killing mission on schools and other targeted places which the American security architecture has not been able to stop.

I want to conclude by saying that this actions from Donald Trump to carry out a military operation in Nigeria all in the guise of dealing with Islamic terrorist is just another excuse that the united states of America wants to use in making sure that they have access to the natural and mineral resources that Nigeria has. African nations should see this as a challenge to strengthen their nations and breakaway from neocolonialism were external governments will determine what happens in their nations because this whole military threat is nothing but a calculated attempt to destabilize the nation just as the way they did to Libya which is still in crisis till today.African nations should a matter of fact look away from the west for their solutions and start looking inward because looking at history no nation and continent has has ever developed by relying on others to help them.
