This experience is not limited only to sports betting.  It also always happens in casino games.  I am the one who experienced getting ahead in the beginning and be able to multiply my bankroll to 5x but due to being greedy and wanted to gain more, I adjusted my aim of profit to 10x and that's when the problem started.  Due to chasing winnings, I became careless, thinking that luck is on my house and increases my bet only to find myself chasing losses and eventually depleted my bankroll.

Of course it's a normal case scenario we often expirience it all the time, as a matter of fact it is the main reason people always hear complain that one game cut my ticket. Every 1 out of 10 Gambler is always tempted to include a game that will make their ticket cut or win unknowingly since no one is sure of the game they are including. Gambling is all about luck they say, and for that reason no one is sure of the possible winning game, and this makes Gambler make a wrong decision, but at times that one move is the reason they Also win Big. Yes I did and I made a post about it here on this board, I used AI to make analyze my bets and it gave me good result that are likely to win at the end of the day I discovered the potential win was quit small so I added my won game to the list of the match it suggested to me mad I ended up ruining the win with that single move hence the AI would have been of great help to win. Greed is the main villain of strategic control, and that is why the biggest challenge sometimes is not knowing how to play against casinos or other players, but rather knowing how to play against your own impulsive instincts. And you know what happens? Sometimes people are too careful not to chase losses, but they forget to also manage overconfidence when they win too much. I'm sure almost every gambler on this forum has experienced something similar, as every human being naturally tends to be greedy, especially when on a winning streak.
Sometimes, after a few wins, we might decide to stop betting immediately because we realize that if we don't stop immediately after a winning streak, we're likely to lose again. I have had similar instincts multiple times in the past. After a winning streak, my confidence level rises and it only makes be believe that I can have another win so I used to place another bet just to see end results in loss. This made me realize I was a victim of over gambling. I should have taken a step back and relax when I had a good winning streak and should have avoided gambling again at least until I see a potential game with no greed in mind.

This taught me a lot and because of that I now avoid placing multiple bets after a winning streak, instead I would withdraw my profits and relax for sometime because our brain needs some relaxing time after we saw a good profit.

Never. I`ve never lost control. But i thought often about it, mostly watching the game. I htought to cashout or to increase bet, but made myself stop and wait the end. It was difficult first months, but later - i just close match window after i made a bet.

This is the mindset we need before we actually start gambling. Losing control is not what we want because that will just make us anxious and will make us place random bets just to try our luck. Greed can make your day bad especially in gambling. You need to realize that greed can come to you when you win. Your greed will tell you that you can win in the next so you follow that idea and place bigger than the previous.

But the outcome is out of your expectation, where the last bet makes you lose. That makes you curious how it can be. So you decide to place one bet to see if that is just a mistake. But then the outcome is the same and you lose double from before. I don't face the moment like that but greed comes to me when I win. Luckily, I can control myself and just stop immediately.
