I completely agree with you on that point. Gambling is all about rationality, meaning everything makes sense through data calculations, or statistics. Even slots are make sense, but the outcome of each spin varies, influenced by a random system, often called the "RNG", or Random Number Generator. So, I don't believe in the connection between superstition and gambling.

Personally, I only believe in psychology when it comes to "showing or sharing betting information", it is possible that someone might feel overconfident about their bets, when they share them publicly, even though they may have been experiencing doubts about their own bets. By the way, I think this only applies to sports.

There are people who love to boast about their achievements but hate to show their failures. Perhaps it is human nature to show only the successful side of oneself. I am not used to boasting about my achievements in public; I adhere to the principle that money loves silence.If someone wants to show off, I don't mind. If that's what they want, let them.

Of course no one will be happy to show off his failure even though some people might decide to show it yet people won't say good thing about it instead they are going to make mockery against you, which is the common reason why most people don't like disclosing thier failure. There are people out there with some crazy superstitions about some things that might sound stupid to you. There are people who believe that telling others about something you’re about to do would bring bad luck to that thing and because of that they keep things a secret from the public until they complete it.

I have seen people who don’t show their winnings out in the public because they feel people would get jealous of them and start to do something bad to stop their wins; so if you see anyone who claims that sharing a cashout affects the outcome then just know that they fall into that category of superstitious people. You spoke very well on this matter. Though the mentality is different, in reality, what people wish you on your game cannot influence the outcome. What I only take from OP is that it is not good to celebrate before the game ends. Sharing your bet with people can give them the privilege to expect something from you when you win. At last, they will call you greedy when you dont share your profit with them. Especially people that do not care if you win or lose.

The outcome of the game cen but be affected gamblers just have the imagination because they believe a lot of things are involved in gambling which is beyond their control. One thing I know is that sharing your cash out to people can lead to discouragement because after seeing the amount you are given as cash out most people will ask you to take the cash out and it may not be your intention to accept the cash out before. True, most of the time, people that do this will only get asked by those people that they show their wins to have the dinner or lunch on them or anything food or alcoholic drink related. But I am speaking on behalf of the fact that I have known good people though, there might be some group of friends out there that really hates each other and suck that they envy that person and wish to steal their winnings, the world has its fair share of evil people after all.

If you are asking for other people to decide what you want to do when you are gambling, you are probably not going to get that far and you need to reevaluate your way of life of depending on other people because it would not be healthy for you in the long run, I think that even if they contribute soundly on what to do, the decision should still rest on you more than anything.
