Any country road miner you know about?

Asking on behalf of a friend. I had this long distance friend who travel around in his ford van and this is also his housing, he is planning to mining Bitcoin in his moving van using solar panels fixed on his roof enough to power 1600watt miner and that's why I encouraged mini 3 from canaan company.

If you know a better option that's still a bit profitable to mine please drop your recommendation, I've never seen anyone trying to mine in their van before but my friend claimed that he knows someone who is doing solo mining in his van too but he want something profitable per day rather than solo mining.

Not a miner here, just remembering the mining farms in various videos that generally produce noise and heat. If you want to run mining in a van 24/7, this factor needs to be considered for the comfort of the van's occupants.
Furthermore, considering the max potential hashrate of Mini 3 (37.5TH/s @800W), the chance of hitting a jackpot from solo mining is very low. Not to mention the maintenance of crucial components of the van itself, like solar panels, batteries, and converters. If it were me, joining a pool would make more sense.

Is mining Bitcoin the only thing he wants to do? What about other options? Sounds like your friends know that the chance to be lucky as a solo miner is very low, if not nonexistent. What's the baseline for "profitable per day" for him?

He is not into solo mining, he just used a friend as an example to prove that mining is possible on a fan, the friend he is talking about choose solo mining but not him, he is someone who travels alot and he want to make money using the sun daily or weekly.

With mini 3 it is possible to get something out of it every week, $50 to $100 per month is possible with mini 3 miner, which is good enough for him and it doesn't generates heat like the main Asic miners.

Joining a pool is the best I believe too, there is no converter needed because he is using a all in one power station which comes with inverter and and charge control, I guess he must have choose that to limit wiring in the fan.

ASICs don't like vibrations; they require a stable power supply, which requires additional batteries. This idea would brick his ASICs very quickly, and if there are no service centers nearby, this would be a major problem.

If this is anywhere but Antarctica, it's going to be too warm. At least, anything that's worth running for daily profit. These usually require big units, which produce a lot of heat and noise. I personally don't think it's wise, especially since he would be relying on solar. So, the assumption is this is somewhere that's got some decent rays coming down, which would be a major problem for the logistics when it comes to the heat. You could pump that out, but again I don't think its very practicable.

As mentioned, vibrations would be a major thing to consider. I've had to thread lock things when they're permanently travelling in vans due to the vibrations just spinning the fittings off.

Also, the amount of solar needed to even run the small lottery miners would probably be a stumbling block. You can definitely do it, but there's almost certainly better ways to go about this. I'd say it would probably be better to just have a small Bitaxe gamma or something running while he travels. Odds are stupidly low, but the cost of setting it up and running it would be negligible. When, you want daily profit most people don't have the space or the logistics to do it at home let alone in a van.

Nerdqaxe's can run north of 100W overclocked at the wall. Many of the bigger miners are at least 1000kw and can get as hungry as you'd like which simply isn't going to work on a leisure battery. You'd have to setup a pretty advanced battery system, which would likely be one of those portable power stations, then you're adding extra weight to the van, which could potentially exceed payload restrictions or just making the van heavy which results in excessive fuel consumption.

I don't know, seems like a really fun project but probably nothing more than an experiment.
