Politics is so dirty, and it's hard to connect that with morals. Unless the politics is known to be good in some certain countries that they've got honor and they're protecting it based on how they have performed for so long. Otherwise, it's known to be not a good way to connect with morals. Because in a democratic country, what the politicians will tell us for them to get our votes is likely a lie just to take your confidence for them. We know that, and that's why we do say "same old politics".

The major problem of politics is that no matter how clean you paint it, the deeper part would remain dirty. So many elections come and go with little pronounced vices . However, when you look deep into the election process you will see several shady areas where many things have been done to secure the victory.

Just like we're currently witnessing with the Guinea Bissau government and the current military takeover. I partly agree, but tbh politics isn’t a clean environment. A morally strong person entering politics will face pressure, deals, and compromises nonstop. Some manage to keep their values, others slowly bend them. Morality matters, yeah, but the system itself often makes it hard to act purely moral all the time.

The worst part of the game of politics is that, the system has its way of corrupting even the innocent ones amongst them, because there are criteria that need to be met before you can attain a particular position or level in politics, and those criteria involves getting involved with certain things that’ll most likely corrupt your morals. Politics was supposed to be fair and filled with the right morals. I don’t know if it is possible for you to be able to distinguish the difference between politics and morality or with say ethical politics and morality because you can’t say you are a representative of the people’s interests, people across wide variety of interests and backgrounds and you will not be morally advanced yourself as a politician. In this kind of situation you are not supposed to exhibit the character of the irresponsible people even when they eventually are more in numbers but for you to live a live of positive impact which will become a point of emulation to many who are struggling to become a better version of themselves. Both of which being society oriented, can mean or imply that they work hand in hand or are supposed to work hand in hand. That means they can't go separate ways. Leaders across every nation in this modern age use the aspect of morality to stylishly cover up their true interests and if we are to look at things objectively, then politics is a bit separate from morality, because all these politicians will promise both achieveable and unachievable thing to their citizens and at the end of the day the only people that will benefit from their cabinet of goodwill! Once they get to the office, it will be those who are closer to power. But honestly, without some level of moral checks then politics as a whole is extremely dangerous because governance and law actually need a concrete foundation to solidify between what is wrong and what is right.
