Any good Bitcoin-themed games that you know of? (Non F2P)

Besides "Hero of Bitcoin" (which is an indie game developed for the Gameboy Color), do you know of any other good games that are Bitcoin-themed? The platform or console in which the game is compatible, doesn't matter. It doesn't have to be a play-to-earn game, either.

I remember back in the day, when we used to have Bitcoin games on mobile devices (particularly Android) which doubled as faucets. Imagine a game with in-app purchases or DLC where you can pay with BTC. The possibilities are endless.

I don't know of any games with a Bitcoin theme.

But I kept wondering: what kind of game would it be with a Bitcoin theme? Would it simulate a mining company?

Or are you referring to games that accept BTC payments to acquire extras?

So the criteria are that they allow us to buy stuff in-game with Bitcoin, and it must be a paid game (since there's a non-F2P tag on the title). Honestly, that's such a hard sell for an average gamer. Even if they don't include Bitcoin, a paid game with a battle pass or something similar gets trashed regularly on the internet. Either they go free to play with microtransactions or just paid DLC, no in-game items. The gameplay must be really good if someone is fine with it.

You know what you make a really good point, I mean grand theft auto 6 comes to mind immediately and it is rumored that you will be able to buy and sell with bitcoin in those worlds. That is so crazy! Think about that for a second, that would instantly make it one of the coolest games ever. Like it could even create a tiny little economy the second its released

I searched for Bitcoin-themed slots and games on Google, but I couldn't find any relevant results. Most results display a list of crypto casinos, indicating that there are almost no game results available. I searched for Bitcoin-themed Android games and found a developer who has released a couple of Bitcoin-themed games on the Play Store. See the screenshot below. These are games released by Bling. Honestly, I haven't tried any of them yet.
However, Bitcoin Blocks - Get Bitcoin! seems interesting. You can earn Bling points by playing this game and redeeming Bitcoin rewards. BTW, all these games contain ads, which is probably the way developer make some money.

Ah, yes. That game used to be my favorite a long time ago. It was some sort of faucet where you could earn some sats by playing the game. Not quite rewarding, but at least it was fun. Personally, I'm not that of a fan of Play-to-Earn (P2E) games because most of them are full of annoying ads. The more minimalist a game is, the better.

I don't think so. In play to earn games, you actually play the game to earn some money in return. In free to play, you are basically free to play a game without the need to pay for a license key. More like a freeware (if you know what I mean). But I could be wrong...

Yes. Board games count too. Nice one. I have the "Crypto Cash" game and it's a blast. A great way to spend time with friends and family. And don't get me started on the "Bitcoin Empire" card game. That one is fun, too.

Perhaps there are some Bitcoin-themed games nowadays that allow one to complete tasks and earn Bitcoin virtually, but so far I've never played a new game specifically developed around the Bitcoin theme. Like the game you mentioned before, which functions as a faucet that allows one to earn Bitcoin for free, but we're not familiar with games developed with the same platform. Is this related to the rising price of Bitcoin, causing some game developers to prefer payments using other currencies? Honestly, I'm not very active in games, and that might limit my ability to explore this further.

Looks like they finished their first funding and planned to ship soon? Not sure when it will start, though. The funding is finished back in February this year, but the products are out of stock, from what I can see (not sure if it means they sold out their first batch or they haven't produced the cards yet). Makes me think it is similar to gacha games since there are rarities on the cards at first glance.

This means even the game itself is not about BTC? It won't be strange if at the same time they still support BTC since BTC is still a currency or like a payment method. This is only the same that a game or a service, merchant, business, etc... accepts bank, Paypal, the local payment method that we know, and others. Meanwhile, there is also those crypto cards that let you use crypto even if they are not supported directly but as long as they support major debit cards. With crypto loadable card, we may assume that every game must be having endless possibilities?

Big names like Activision, Ubisoft, or EA getting involved in this would be a huge game-changer. Indie devs are okay. But the games they create won't have the same level of exposure as those coming from renowned gaming companies.

Since Bitcoin is getting more popular each day, it won't be long before this becomes a reality. Imagine using BTC as in-game currency for purchasing weapons, skins, and DLC instead of Fiat. Or even getting tipped in BTC by your friends through the game. The possibilities are endless. Game companies can also choose to have their own token issued on a smart contract chain. I hope we get to see more Bitcoin/crypto-themed games in the long run. The industry really needs them.

Also for what I know this is simulation play and no real cryptocurrencies or Bitcoin involve in the game. So anyone can try play this game without spending in this game.

Few years back there were few solid and good projects about bitcoin gaming but due to covid and developer side issues mostly are now wiped out.

Now in last few years high cost preventing developers from working on these games just few arrived and then gone because they were not done as developers were expecting but few exist which are mostly non bitcoiner.

Today after having this thread I read about few games these are going to be helpful for kids, but I need to work on them before giving them hopefully these will work for sometime till they have their own good alternative options.
