I found new scam that targets pump.fun users. This website fakes that user is selected for wheel-of-fortune spin and after spinning a wheel user "wins" 100k FUN tokens.

After winning the fake reward "claim reward" button appears. Upon click on that button the website tries to connect to your wallet.

Be careful! According to Whois lookup, this website is created today and it has no association to original www.pump.fun !

Do not connect funded wallet to this website under any circumstances!

This scam is currently being promoted on Telegram channels so be extra careful when clicking links there!

As always, they target the greedy, gullible users. Thanks for bringing this up to our attention. I believe the best way forward is to report this domain so that it ends up getting flagged by wallet extensions like Metamask or even Google Safe Browsing

It's good that Metamask is fast enough to block this wallet drainer. I hope there will be a time when they can block it right after the script is created, so there are no victims of this scheme.
Once they release it, the scammers are so active in promoting their drainers because they know they have a limited time to run the script.

In a case of phishing sites, I don't think people get exposed to them because of greed. It's an ignorance thing. So, gullibility is the problem. We can be sure that a lot of people clicking on that link may not even know about the original site – pump.fun. I wouldn't even have known of pump.fun if not that a group I belong to talked about it a few months ago and I did some investments there. Seeing this scam site, even without reading the OP, I knew instantly it would be an imitation of pump.fun. I ain't disappointed.

We've to be careful this period to safeguard our investments. We shouldn't be granting access to sites we haven't done thorough research on to our wallets. It's even a bad idea to do that with main wallets. Get burner/throwaway wallets for such and don't leave funds there except gas fee.

Not just this December, but since we started approaching the holiday season, many of these scammers have been scheming about how they can take advantage of those who are in search of quick money to sponsor their Christmas. In fact, I don't think there has ever been any time that these scammers are resting. They are always out there looking for ways to exploit the vulnerable.
