If there were no laws in place, then I doubt humanity would exist at all because we always evolved only when we lived as a group but usually humans are greedy animals so if no laws protecting others then strong ones will try to eliminate the remaining ones from the competiution that leads to loss of lives and eventually very few people will remain and there is no room for development anymore, we all have to focus on the survival alone.

There must certainly be law for humanity to maintain peace and unity, a lawless town always end up In disaster because everyone behave the way they like. If there where no laws, your money will be forcefully taken away from you and their will be no penalty for such person who did that when their is no law. Your Loved one may be killed in your presence and you can not do anything and even if you try to fight back and the gang is more powerful than you, the rest of you family may be eliminated and no one will do anything on your behalf. Infact no evil act will be punishable by law since there is no law. Some people will create a gang to suppress the weak. This reminds me of a movie by name blackout this movie is highly educative. When there is power breakdown and communication dismissed the world turns to a lawless world and some people became terrorist to suppress others. Having read so few Holy Books, God gave humans laws. Like in the Bible God told Adam and Eve not to eat from a certain apple tree. The Bible, the Koran and others are filled with laws and diverse instruments.

I agree that some laws restrict us from achieving our full potential. Politicians will always want to make laws based on their beliefs and ideologies without considering other people's views. However, the society will be in a state of anarchy without guiding laws. We just have to seek ways to maximise our potential in the face of these restrictions.

God followed up the creation with the law and that's why the ten commandments through Moses was announced. I think if there are no laws, we'd be like the early men that just lives to survive. Who said so that there is no law with God? Even the creation story, the days of creation was followed in orderliness and that is law already because law is meant to create order and organized settings for doing things. But if you don't agree to that, what about the ten commandments? That is law and its consequences. Even the holy book recorded that it was because of disobedience that the finest angel (Lucifer) and most sonorous one for that matter was chased out from the kingdom of God/ heaven.

Law is not a limitation to man but it gives strength to mankind to achieve whatever they want to achieve with out being killed or supposedly limited by another man. God created humanity and gave instructions not to eat from one specific tree, man failed the law and was punished for it. We truly can't live peacefully without laws, it would be total hell on earth for mankind. It's easy to compare the status of how we see life that exists with law, the manner and rate at which crime is committed, now imagine in a case when there is no law, and every crime has no consequences.

The society will not be peaceful, we will be worse than animals that live in the jungle. The punishment that comes with breaking those laws is what makes a lot of people make the right decisions even when they plan to do something hectic.

Without law in a society their will be problem in that society, when law is not in place one can come into your home take your property away just because he or she is stronger than you, law protect the weak and even the strong. There was a time when law was not functioning as it is now, what will keep your safe then was how strong you are but now what will keep you safe is being law abiding citizen. I guess that's what those with a communist and socialist mindset are trying to explain to the global system, like obviously without laws that govern and often restrict us!! You are forgetting something which I will like you to understand. Do you know that when God created Adam and Eve, he also created a law to guide the two species so that they don't have to misbehave but keep to the rule that is set for them to abide on intact without compromise.

Since the Bible could not give us the exact details of these laws that were set to guide Adam and Eve so that don't do things that will shift the presence of God from them, we don't need to dive on that but the number law that asked Adam and Eve not to eat the forbidden fruit. They disappointed God by eating the fruit and God was angry when and finally drove them out of the garden of Eden.

Humans are very stubborn people to deal and you know that? They've been selectively adamant to instruction despite these laws been put in place. What a world we lived when there's presence of rules, it's comfortable for some and uncomfortable for some people. without law being in the society human will prey on one another. There will be no order in the society, the essence of law is for the society to function well. A society without law can't function well , therefore it will be wrong to undermine the importance of law in a society. All the good things we are having today is because of law, law didn't start now, even from the Bible that made us to believe on the first two people on the earth, even if there was no suffering for them yet there was still laws to guide them so actually it was important that is why there was law, you can see the importance of law from the imagination that if there was no law somebody could do anything and nobody will confront them. I don't mean to sound religious but by mentioning God (creator) amidst find it necessary.
According to the bible, John 1 vs 1 says... In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.
So he is the author finisher of all creations who made man (human) in his own image.

So there is no authority to set laws upon him rather, he gave human the ability to occupy the world and dominate. Remember he also set some rules on his first creations who are Adam and Eve at their residence in the garden of Edens bought was broken.
Same God of the all creations also instructed his own chosen servant Moses to guide his people with the 10 commandments which is difficult for even the most faithful to accord to because, we are naturally born humans of imperfections and believe we deserves freedom of our own.

Therefore, laws or rules or governance has been in existence even before the morden politics came in place where political leaders and institutions now sets rules to government the societies.
However, the world may had been better or worse place if there was no laws. Perhaps Psychologically it is unrealistic to even imagine the atmosphere of the world if it was of no laws and no government.

Do you understand that that not everyone around the world shares your religion, right?  The God you are talking about?  Yeah, thats more of a local thing and doesnt really carry weight when you are talking about how the world should be run or just, you know, whats real.  Using the Bible to explain why we need laws is like using a comic book to explain gravity - it might be fine for you, but it is not a real source of authority.

Thing is, laws didnt come down from some garden of Eden.  They came about because people are naturally messy and self-interested, so we needed ways to survive.
