If the person is facing bad luck all the time, then there's a reason to consider quitting because it means that gambling is not favoring the person, to prevent future losses, they should rather quit but if they would continue trying to chase after luck, they should use the money that they can afford to lose. If they keep trying luck, they probably will win one day.

So much depends on what his goal in gambling is; if he is seeking to double his money and make gambling his cash cow, I will strongly advise that he stop gambling.
But if it's all for fun, then it's up to him to continue. We should not be losing money that we cannot afford to lose in gambling, and we should not be losing sleep in gambling.
I myself experienced a very long losing streak, but I did not stop. I just focused on the fun side, and I feel good about it. Motivation to have fun is always the key to responsible gambling.

I feel like people with hard luck that don't quit gambling are moved by delusion because there is no way that you would keep on losing consistently and keep hoping that you are going to win a big amount whereas you are losing the money that you have. It's hard to use this as a reference because for us as gamblers when we are unlucky at the moment then we will look for another time to get lucky and this always repeats itself.
Quitting gambling completely would be a very good thing if they realize that gambling is just wasting their money but there will only be a small percentage like that, the rest of us will still continue to gamble.

This was me years ago, when I got tired of predicting sport betting, not that I wasn't good enough, or that I doesn't understand how odds works, but I was unlucky about it, very very unlucky.

It got to the point that if I predict for people, it will be successful, if I predict for myself it will be failure.

My cousin told me that winners never quit but quitters never win. The quote kept ringing in my brain boasting my confidence that I am never a quitter, I never knew I was soaking myself into more losses untill I quit finally for my peace of mind.

If betting is based on luck, I think everyone has the same chance of losing/winning. I have seen some people who really seem to have a bad time every time they are Gambling.  Some of them quit after a few attempts, others are still trying.  I imagine the majority of people who are in this situation end up quitting, I would as well if I kept losing apparently every single time.

But there are some people who simply do not get it.  They throw too much Money and end up losing every single time because they play irresponsibly and never stop.  And when you do not have a stop in Gambling, you get screwed very fast.

I think I have been in such a situation before and luckily for me I didn’t quit gambling totally, why I did was to cut off my gambling budget to the barest minimum and then continued on with my gambling life.

I can’t recall the exact year, but I think I was on a losing streak, some wins and more of loses and I just thought my self, since most of my predictions aren’t going as planned what then is the need of me putting huge money into my bets? And that’s what prompted me to give it up and just do something little, enjoy, have fun and take break as much as I want.

But for now I’m back to normal, I don’t use that huge amount but I’m now using a decent amount as compared to back then when I was experiencing 5 times more loses than my wins.

I don't seen to understand what you mean as technical knowledge in gambling, there are obviously no real technicalities in gambling unless somehow you're talking about skill-based games like poker, dice or blackjack, e.t.c.

Losing in gambling isn't a big deal as long as you're gambling with what you can afford to lose, when it becomes a problem is when you're gambling excessively. I have a budget and I gamble with it irrespective of my winning or losing. As long as it doesn't affect my finances, I don't mind continuing until my luck shines one day.

But I don't think this should stop a gambler from gambling forever because for those who have embraced gambling as entertainment, they will only find joy in gambling, regardless of whether they win or lose. But for those whose only income target is gambling, if they lose more than they win, they must give up gambling because in this case, if they continue gambling, they will be able to sell everything and manage the gambling money as a profit and loss calculation.

It's hard to suggest gambling to anyone though, I don't know but in my case no one mentors me to gamble. Maybe my environment might help me push but still it depends on the individual itself. So if let's say a person tries gambling for the first and then suffered losses, then there is that small chance that he will not go back to gambling because of that first bad experience.

But we all know that most of us who might also go to that same experience will still continue to gamble even if we have that hard luck in the beginning. There are stubborn person, which will still go out and try the next time and then the cycle starts.

So it's not like a rule etch in stone, everyone is very different specially in the mindset as far as gambling goes.

No one can actually stop a seasoned gambler from going back to the casino to place a bet unless they decide to themselves.
I would like to advice any such gambler who has souch bad luck with gambling, to try other games or other platforms for a change.

Not gambling as a whole but, certain aspects to gambling.

You know, in my early days of approaching gambling, I did try out virtual or simulation gambling. I certainly wasn’t better at it, performed really badly in the virtual or simulation gambling. I had to quit it entirely because, I wasn’t winning any bets the few times I tried.

There and then, I knew it wasn’t for me. Didn’t have much for stats and analysis and the results were just flashed on the screens in a minute or 2. I avoid this form of gambling.
