What is ORIN?

ORIN is a Dash-based cryptocurrency created for a new type of map-based digital experience called Orinverse.

Orinverse turns the world map into a decentralized information layer where anyone can attach useful, secret, historical, or valuable information directly to real geographic coordinates.

Think of it as:
- a global map of hidden knowledge,
- a marketplace of location-based information,
- and a digital layer on top of the physical world.

With Orinverse you will be able to:

• mark exact coordinates on the map
• attach messages, data, files or links to those coordinates
• make them public, private, time-locked or paid
• sell access to valuable location-based information for ORIN

Coordinates are registered on-chain to guarantee ownership and timestamping, while the actual content is stored off-chain and unlocked using ORIN.

This allows people to create:

• secret places with hidden messages
• paid research data tied to real locations
• warnings, notes or community-curated layers on the map
• digital time capsules attached to real-world coordinates

ORIN is the native currency used for:

• unlocking paid coordinates
• platform fees inside Orinverse
• future governance mechanisms
