I feel your pain, with the way you are talking it shows that an advise from twitter has made you do something wrong that you can not forget, twitter is the one place that you should never believe everything they are saying about crypto, i will not blame them because twitter is a place where people are looking for followers and engagement that will make them earn money, they are doing anything to make money that is why i will not blame them for lying to people who want to know about crypto and other things.

I never believed in anything in any social media, even if the news is legit, i make sure i get the full information from many sources before believing in it, if you want to know about crypto, here is the best place where you can get more information about crypto and the best part of it is that you will learn from many individuals who know better than you and also correct anyone who is not correct in their opinion, forum is a best place to learn about bitcoin and crypto, don’t let anyone deceive you in any other place.

Don't look back on your mistakes is not the right way to put this, crypto space is as very complicated space, if you don't remind yourself of your past mistakes you are probably going to make them again, I am talking from experience, to keep doing the right things at times you need to keep the pains alive.

Mistakes are made for us to learn a lesson, many people make mistakes but they don't learn from it, some people make mistakes and they overlook in an instant, I don't like this, because the faster you forget the likelihood it will happen to you again, this is why keeping the past experience alive is a way to evade the future ones.

There are good people on Twitter but the majority of them are on that platform to raise an army of their own and start tweeting so that they can be recognised, and when it is time to make money which was the main goal, they will use their followers, this is now a norm among the influencers.

Scam influencers or KOLs are always the masterminds of all the losses of ordinary people,
they always provide education and even misleading advice.

Independent research will always be a reference whether our own research is worth or the same as others,

I completely agree with what you said. Many people on X advise others to invest in altcoins mainly so they can use them as exit liquidity, especially since they themselves made the mistake of buying at higher prices. Meanwhile, in Bitcoin, many influencers keep flexing their PnL to attract new traders or investors to use their affiliate links or copy trading services. Learning from them is fine, in my opinion, but completely relying on them to make our decisions is not wise and can easily lead to losing our capital.

There are still some people on X who provide genuinely decent advice. I take their insights and evaluate them against my own strategy. If their insight doesn’t align with my plan, I will think carefully before making any decision. Eventually most people will prioritize their own profit before thinking about others. Taking advantage of others is common on X. That’s why we need to be careful about who we follow, rely on our own strategy and maintain discipline.

OP I think you forgot something even really critical, and that is the fact that a lot of them are not just there to spread propaganda but also they are scammers. Some of them play a very big role in misleading the public to investing in a token that is fake of which they are a part of.
We have seen where so many twitter influencers promote a token actively, convincing a large rate of their followers to invest in it and then the token dies within two days making people lose a lot of money. A good number of internet influencers are do take part of this act, after maybe agreeing to be given a particular amount of percentage if the plans goes really well. If we remember, Legendary singer Kanye West once said he was once approached with a good sum of money just to make a post of a fake token and help scam the public, of which he declined.
So that's just it and trust me, there isn't so much people like Kanye out there who can say no if they are approached by someone with a whooping amount of money just for them to be part of a scam plan. To most of them, just making a post is the easiest thing and trust me, they are definitely going to do it if the promised pay is good.

In last one-decade social media have serious impact in our daily life just because of this now many are also losing their hard earning money to scammers and peoples those are working for fake projects and having tag of research analyst or influencer now it's time to check and them and avoid at all cost because they are evil party.
Specially twitter/X and Telegram are doing enough damage because these are scammers heaven, and they are always on spot with their comments and research which are never been solid even things are always not easy to have real project or advice but still need to be having something which keep them away from newbies.
As mentioned, they are using these big names around us with their funds to have huge profits for their fake tokens or projects and many are doing for them even they are not well aware about consequences of them hopefully things will be on better for all of us to leave them and from scams.

Conducting independent research to make trading decisions is a good choice, but when you seek the wrong information or references that's where your independent research goes wrong. Following influencers on social media is fine for learning and gaining insight, but it becomes a problem when you use it as a reference for making decisions about your Bitcoin investment.

This often happens to beginners who don't want the hassle or the effort they simply take a few influencer opinions to make a decision. The more information we seek from various sources the better, so we can process it and gain more references when making decisions. Yes, the most enlightening way to learn and seek information is on Bitcointalk, because besides the abundance of information we can ask and answer questions. But the problem is not everyone knows and can utilize this forum effectively, again the main factor being a lack of reading.

The problem is that alot of people feels like and have the believe that Twitter and other social medias are the best places to find answers and solutions to their problems but don't know that they have nothing to offer but just using them to promote their business, this platform gives you the best of any information you need to know about Bitcoin as long as you are ready to read and ask questions, you get all you want here.
 I have never involved or rely myself on any of the X platforms for information on bitcoin even before o joined this forum because i have being hearing alot and how misleading they are so i avoid them alot till now whatever i need i get it from this forum.

This all depends on the personalities you're following on twitter. Before you follow any user on X you must have to do your own due diligence. There are personalities you would never regret following them on X, especially those seasoned bitcoin maxis. Perhaps you can always start with Bitcoin Archive and Bitcoin Magazine. There are host of other good suggestions I believe preceding replies would share too.

Out of every nonsense theres certainly a sense. I dont also believed that all that are in the Internet are misleading.  Besides people who are newbies are matured adults who can differentiate from the good and the bad so they should be able to identify it when they see one.
Fact established and accepted that there are wrong and misleading informations but it is also true that correct and good informations are also there. So in.as much as it is misleading it is also directing.
