I’m not saying gambling is bad by default. But sometimes it’s worth questioning whether we’re still playing for fun, or just stuck chasing something that never really comes.

It depends on your mindset, what you mean by winning and losing. If by winning you want to have so much profits that's almost to no loss then you will have to find something else aside gambling to do. That's because in gambling it's just like a 50/50 way thing. You can loss, you will lose but over time make sure you are able to recover the little you can.. there won't always be that picture perfect when it comes to gambling because like you said, the house has an edge more than us. It's the business for them while it's the fun for us. If they allow the ratio of win to loss be higher than what it is, they would simply not be profitable as a casino..

Now if you find yourself hardly winning at all, what's the point of consistent gambling? If you are happy that you don't lose a lot, well that only means a thing, you are also winning a few times. I can only be bold enough to say that I'm not losing much if I'm also wining, moreover I have never seen someone who claims that they don't lose much when they are not winning. If you're having steady wining in gamble then you can proudly say that you don't lose much more especially when you're going with lower stake. If I have had a really rough day where I am down like $2k and I make a bet that wins me $1500 back, I am feeling good that I only lost $500 on the day compared to where I was. If all you do is lose then you probably need to stop gambling because you're obviously not very good at it. Better to spend your time on something that is worth your time.

Why do I feel happy when I don’t lose much? It’s not that I’m happy, I just think it’s better to lose a little than to lose everything. For example, when I’m playing and almost get drained but then get lucky and nearly recover, of course I’d feel relieved and happy that I didn’t get wiped out. It’s the same when I lose yesterday and win today, I’d still feel good even if it’s just breakeven. I don’t know, even if I’m negative overall, I still feel happy when I win, even though I know that if I had just kept the money, I would’ve earned more. Lol.

Gambling for fun or not gambling for fun, what that is important is that only little amount of money should be used to gamble. If just 1% of you weekly income is spent on gambling every week, that is what I am implying, to spend just the amount of money in a way that gambling can not affect you financially and emotionally. And it is simple, just 1% if you weekly income.

Losing will remain a loss, no matter how small the amount is. But good for you if you are just losing a bit, but that won't guarantee that you're somehow winning from your bets. That small losses will grow into bigger amount, if you are losing constantly. So never settle for that, that its okay to lose as long as you are not losing too much.

If you have not seen yourself winning significant amount, but just keep on losing, you better think if you will still continue gambling or not. I think kuie this when I started gambling but I do not have such thinking anymore, I use very small amount of money that I can afford to lose to gamble. If I win, I will still be happy with the small amount of money that I won and this will not encourage me to increase the amount of money that I am using to gamble. It can happen to some people, especially newbie gamblers, but as they continue to gamble, they will learn.
