Are there any exchanges that accept bank payment but won't bug me to send a selfie or live verification? I am ready to provide my phone number, address and  legal documents like driving license, passport, etc.
I am just not okay giving my selfie. Yes, I am ugly AF. Any options?

As far as I know, there aren't any; a liveness check is an integral part of the KYC system. I heard the system will be upgraded to prevent AI exploitation.

You only have two choices today: complete KYC up to video verification or go with exchanges that doesn't require KYC at all.

Why not look for non-KYC instead?
Sending bank payments should be fine; like the sample Bisq, it doesn't require documents or a selfie.

KYC verification has evolved over the years. Back in the day, all they needed were just a name, date of birth, address and maybe the front and back part of your Identification document. These days, that alone does not work. Maybe they probably figured out that some people used forged or stolen IDs to verify accounts

So you either choose to do a liveness check or look for an exchange that never requests for KYC verification

Lol, what is the real reason why you do not want to go through the liveness check, when you are willing to provide every other information towards the kyc procedure. It is one thing to completely refuse to go through kyc, and another when you are ready to provide them with all your documents, but object to the very method they use in confirming if what you have posted is fake or real. I just find it to be kind of ironic honestly.

OP is looking for a bank payment. If that comes from a non-KYC exchange, he can expect questions from his bank.

I appreciate everyone's responses, however we read it on the news that XYZ regulated exchange got fined or shut due to lack of KYC or improper KYC procedures. So to say that none such exchange exist is just untrue. There are definitely still many and I thought smart people here would know some. My objective IS to do everything legally, just not comfortable with sharing a video of my face that can be misused because of malice or stupidity or both. Thank you anyways.

KYC procedures aren't arbitrary;
As long as regulations bind them, they'll be forced to improve their procedures sooner or later.
Submitting a selfie is the simplest procedure and is standard for any exchange, even local exchanges that aren't typically affiliated with international financial regulators or data exchanges.
