Gambling can never solve your financial problems but rather add to your problems. Regardless of your debt, you shouldn't take your life because it doesn't worth it. Death can not wave the debt, you'll leave it behind for your family to pay and still cause them emotional stress for mourning your death.

No matter what, don't let gambling to finish you. If you can not gamble what you can afford to lose, better quit now before it get too late.

It has been awhile we saw these kind of sad news on this forum, but another one happened recently again which is this. This is how some people use their greedy fast way of making money without thinking of the bad consequences to affected themselves. Just gamble with small amount of money is very important to be known. He just put his family into sadness. But the thing is some people will not still use this to learn.

Anybody capable of thinking in this direction or doing something similar is obviously a wasted gambling addict. You don't risk money based on luck and be greedy to expect a must win because that's where frustrations like these come from and they are usually fuelled by taking overwhelming risks.

Sadly not everyone up to 18 by age is mature enough to actually think like an adult. Because no reasonable reason for someone to kill himself over a game.

It's so sad to read, 300lv, after the long struggle, I can imagine how the parent will feel about the heartbreak. But then again, if not greed, why will he even try gambling with what he can't afford? Someone else's money. When they say people should only gamble what they can afford, some people will say they have sure games, and it doesn't matter how big they go. Borrowing to gamble is bad, as is using what's not yours. I'm sure he believed the game was a "sure" game. Regardless, let him rest well. Two stages of irresponsibility demonstrated by this person

Stage1 is financial irresponsibility by gambling excessively to the point of using money entrusted to him to gamble. His addiction is on another level. Another day to remind us to gamble only with what we can afford to lose.

Stage2 is emotional irresponsibility for talking his life as a solution to his predicament. Suicide is for weaker men I always maintain. If you're strong enough, fight the situation and prevail. The highest thing the landlord would do is retrieve his position and possibly arrest him but he'll still be alive to pay his debts and continue living. Suicide causes more harm than good especially emotional harm to our loved ones.

Gamblers needs to learn to gamble with the amount they can afford to lose and gamblers also needs to learn not have so much expectation in gambling, not being desperate,  greedy for money. If this can be understand it will be easy to let go when money is lose in gambling and one will be able to control emotion in gambling but when this understanding is not there it is very difficult to control emotion in gambling especially when money which is not supposed to be ise in gambling was put into gambling. This thing is a matter of understanding because advising people to forget about their lose when they in gambling will not even change anything for them.

This is a very sad story to be honest. Many of this case scenario has happened in the past but it is very obvious that many people don’t learn lessons from the past experience of others. He is still a university students who has a whole lots of life ahead of him to live but unfortunately he had allowed his addiction to gambling take over him and have now made it bring an end to his life. Sometimes I just feel stories like this usually leaves the gambler in big debts and they have not used only their personal money to bet and that was why paying off those debts will be a living hell to them and they end up taking their own lives. This is what addiction can lead to because when you are too addicted to gambling, it is almost same as someone who is insane that doesn't know what he is doing anymore because you will always be full of emotions whenever your bet cuts. Debt and addiction can cause vulnerable people to lose control of their lives. I believe this should be yet another example of how wrong it is to gamble with money that isn't yours. I don't know how much money he might have lost, but I doubt it was a sum so large that he couldn't afford to pay it back eventually. Perhaps external pressure overwhelmed him; we won't know. But almost always, people who take their own lives do so impulsively, and the other part is due to depression. Gambling is made to entertain us and excite us with its different game offers, not to put an end to our life just because all we endure are huge losses. Another not so pleasant news story happened and it's definitely not the first time it's happened but it's always the same situation when a gambler can't take responsibility for what they do in gambling.

Although I know that when looking at the article that it is not just gambling that is the cause, it is still wrong behavior and the gambler failed to put the rational ahead of the emotional side.
On the one hand, this condition is also a little difficult to avoid because this is only one of the many gamblers who failed in their gambling and had to let their lives go just because of false hopes in gambling.

The action of the deceased simply is a reflection of greed and selfishness of the highest order. Gambling is not by force, folks really need to get this into their skull, If you cannot gamble for entertainment purposes, then I see no reason why folks should bother gambling...If money is the major reason for gamble, such a person will definitely get disappointed multiple times... Folks are meant to only gamble what they can afford to loose meaning that folks should only make use of their discretionary income to gamble so that they wouldn't be driven to making silly decisions anytime a lose is encountered. I cannot relate to the message of the story, because i don't plan on taking my life for any gambling reason, not at all any reason. What did he solve for taking his life? The money he lost in gambling is still unpaid to the victims, whoever doesn't want to learn will do the hard way.

Gambling is not a source of income, whether we say it here over a hundred times, story for another will still pop of someone who commit suicide because he lost money from gambling, maintain proper gambling habit, and not worry about suicidal thoughts.

A very sad news and indeed it will definitely leave a bad impression to the gambling sphere once again and it's indeed a fact but it shouldn't have been the case if people do really gamble moderately and don't gamble anything that will ruin themselves in the end. Death isn't an answer and it should be taken into account for all these gamblers.

It's rare to see this happen, although there are many suicide attempts due to gambling problems and debts. You are right, death will not solve anything, and in fact, we are just leaving behind more problems for our family, which means they will just start to hate us even on our deathbed.

I think the real question here is whether the gambling problem hotlines or suicide hotlines are really working? Is it safe to say that they lack advertising, even though their intention is good? I mean, if there are friends in the circle of this young man, they will notice that something is wrong with him before he can even do it, so they will have a chance to call someone who can help him.
It's truly sad to see this happen, and I do wish there were no more who would do the same. There's always hope, even if we are buried in debt, even though it will be small steps.

every bet a winner, and that any gambling problem can be solved with a bit of effort and dedication.

I always think that suicide is a definitive long term answer to a potentially short term problem.

This is what addiction can do. I know someone who was also addicted to gambling, a security guard from an agency. During salary payout, some of his fellow guards were absent, so the manager handed him their money since he volunteered to distribute it. Instead of giving it to them, he went out drinking and then gambled the money.

It cost him his job, and sadly, the other guards lost their salaries too.

Gambling addiction can really ruin lives, but gambling in general isn’t the problem, it’s the addiction that is.

I guess he must have felt ashamed for having lost the money, since it didn't really belong to him, besides not finding a solution to recover the amount of money. This must have led him to desperation, which resulted on his final act. That is always sad to read such stories, which have starting point the impulsivity and lack of planning by the individual.

I don't know what could be the consequences for what he did in his local community (gambling and losing third party's funds), but I suspect it could be something quite serious, since he decided going into the route he took instead.

We don’t really know what happened inside his head, but it’s not new that some people end up taking their own lives because of financial problems. This case is even more serious, since he didn’t just ruin things for himself, he also dragged other people into it by taking money that wasn’t his.

His addiction probably pushed him to do that, because if he were thinking clearly, he would know there’s no guaranteed winning in gambling. Once you lose, it’s very hard to fix the problem. But in that moment, he was likely too hyped about winning and didn’t even consider the possibility of losing.
