The monerov snapshot is total amteur hour

Looks like thats the only way to snapshot fork a cryptonote coin

I think there are some things that could be done to make it more secure, if we were ever able to resurrect the doubloon snapshot fork

There is a big problem with price and volume right now...

Some users reported deposit issues to me yesterday so I tried to deposit BBR to stocks.exchange. Almost 24 hours later it has still not been credited. I've messaged the operator and he's stated that their dev resources are spread thin working on the next version of their exchange. I would advise everyone to move trading to BTC-Alpha. IMO, it might be the best strategy to have him delist Boolberry until they launch their new exchange when they'll be able to properly address technical concerns.

I've tested BTC-Alpha deposits for BBR/BTC and everything is working. As long as you don't try to withdrawal from stocks, which has a non-functional payment id withdrawal, directly to alpha then you'll be just fine.

We have requested a $BBR pairing @ CoinFalcon.com found here: https://feedback.coinfalcon.com/feature-request/p/boolberry-pairing and would be grateful if you could give us your vote. Registration is quick and can be done with Twitter, Facebook acct's etc.

Coinfalcon looks like it'll end up being the Binance for the EU/NA market in the near future. They have top tier support, design and trading engine. Once you sign up for a trading account there, you'll understand my logic. One of the marketing guys is in contact with their team and they're looking into the project. In the meantime, if everyone can show support for the project by upvoting the pairing request, it will help to expedite any possible listing there.

What happened to the feature request?

It had to be moved to https://feedback.coinfalcon.com/coin-request/p/boolberry-pairing

Is there any alternative wallet/daemon, that can support custom path for blockchain? Standard one can't do this, doesn't work with directory junctions in Windows(like symbolic links in Linux) and eat 5+ Gb of RAM...

What is the status of restoring a BBR wallet from seed?

Apple released APFS (Apple File System) last year in High Sierra. A wallet file generated in High Sierra, and copied over to Ubuntu will not open, even with the correct password. It would be nice to just restore the wallet from seed on either operating system.

Is this the FUD, someone not being in crypto asking specific questions to bother dev. So that is your first question in Bitcointalk?

There have always been a surprising amount of new accounts on the Boolberry rooms. I attributed this to the privacy focus and interest and that it is many of the same people.

Last I checked you cannot you can't restore a BBR wallet from seed

And there were also issues opening a copied wallet from different clients. Deleting the Boolberry files and resyncing from scratch solves it though.

A quick update on Kucoin. We had a brief session with the team over the weekend. I just received an update from the exchange operator, Kent, that his lead engineer, Eric, is now working on the integration. If all goes well deposits and withdrawals will be open sometime this week.

I will ask CZ to comment on the possibility and timing of Remote Nodes.  In the meantime, as you will see on the upcoming road-map, we have begun researching a Lightning Memory-Mapped DB and implementation will follow once all testing has been completed.  Since the Boolberry blockchain is only about 4GB, we expect the need for remote nodes to be somewhat diminished, but this is something that is being discussed for mobile applications.

Transaction ID by prefix, using checkpoints is one of the unique features that was introduced from day one with Boolberry.  It has resulted in a dramatically reduced size over time, which you can read more about at the following link:

Why not just use the code from DarkNetSpace coin-- the Boolberry fork.  It looks like some DB is already implemented.  DNC2 client uses tiny RAM...

I didn't found anything about the usual DB solutions in their github, but there's

https://github.com/CryptoCoinLabs/darknetspace/commit/892acf0154d34f8cca19a3930f5bb66c66701442

which looks like a different solution to the memory issue. I guess someone more knowledgeable might be able to comment on it.

The architecture of cryptonote was designed with separated core and wallet (as components) for a few reasons, including security concerns.
This approach also allows to separate wallet and core(daemon) physically, i would be happy to put it to road map with GUI improvements if it's considered as something usable!
