what is this and how i use ?

i look the block explorer and i dont understand i see my walet 1,995.44322996 DMD but my wallet 2167.4 dmd in why the difernece i lost some coin ? i see the trtansaction but not correct i send 110 dmd not 238

if you see in your wallet differences in the display of information, then you might want to use a repair wallet and click to the button Recover Trabsactions 1 and after rebout Recover Trabsactions 2

Bought 23 DMD a week ago on Bittrex and sent to my windows wallet (it is updated to the latest version).

From what I understood by reading some posts in this forum, all I need to do to stake my coins (POS Mining) is to leave my wallet opened and unlocked, and I have done so for a week now, but as of today, I haven't received anything. The diamond icon on the lower right is active, and says Staking is active btw.

Am I missing something? Should I have received anything by now ?

Unfortunately, for current difficult the found block with only 23 DMD is very hard.
Try to increase your balance to at least 200 DMD and your chances of a new block will be much higher.

Also be aware that even with 200 DMD you should leave the wallet open 24/7 to get a stake every few days. Only starting the wallets for some hours every some weeks or months like it was possible in V2 is no longer a good option.

if u dont want that u can use coin control and make sure a change amount is send back to the address it did came from

what do u mean with withdraw?
the DMD payouts are send to ur own DMD address that u registered

dmd cloudmining dont hold ur coins or provide any webwallet service
it only works in combination with wallets able to sign a message
else u cant even enable convert to shares mode

if a 23 DMD pile would find a block 7 time a year that would be a income 5.6 DMD and a ROI of ~ 25%
so that means u can expect to find with such a small amount a block only on average once every ~2 months
and still u have to run ur node 24/7

and luck is involved too statistic once every 2 months can by luck be turned into 3 blocks in a week or no block a whole year

if u like to find rewards more often and less luck driven u need more and bigger coin piles

minting last 48 hours and not pulled in anything, the one reward i did get was an orphan block  

The most of staking rewards go to top addresses (especially #1 and #3), even 4-5 times in one hour. I haven't got any rewards for 9 hours though I have a few thousand of DMD, about 10 ready to staking piles and status "staking is active".

I even spread a screen of my wallet.



You see, this morning I found a block, as was the case yesterday.

I found (2) blocks yesterday and I only have (4) piles of 200 dmd each.  So staking is working as it should.  I believe you just have to leave your wallet open to compete.  If you close your wallet at all I believe it removes your chances of stakes.  Also, if you freshly opened your wallet it will take some time to compete with all of the wallets that have been open.

I compared my wallet with #3 and I see the rewarding is not proportional. Today #3 has 31 staking rewards and I have only 4! Shouldn't I have about quarter what #3 got if I have 1/4 balance of #3 or double if I would have 2 x balance of #3? ATM I have 18 piles and I haven't received any reward for 7 hours. Sorry for my post but I'm a little confused that I have to wait so long for reward when I have a few thousand of DMD.

its a battle for POS blocks and ur soldiers are ur coin pile
its ur decision if u wana fight with man small one who might need long time to take one block down
or with a few big hero size coin pile which after find a block have to recover 24 hours before able join the battle again

u can longterm define the size range u want ur coinpiles be in

the area the automated split/merge mechanics will slowly adjust ur coin pile size will be between 1x and 2x the set value

May I ask how are orphaned blocks form during PoS and how can we reduce the number of such incidents? Why are blocks generated but not accepted? My wallet is the latest version. Might it be due to my internet connection?

I checked coin piles and we have similar sizes: ~300, ~600 (I haven't smaller) but my interval between rewards is even 9-10 hours vs. max 2 hours. So maybe total coins I own is relevant.

If you have a bad Internet connection network and your wallet has a small number of connections, the number of orphan blocks be increases.
but this is not a massive problem because your wallet has the function of purification of empty blocks.
You just need to go to a repair wallet and click Recover Transactions 1
Your wallet will be rebooted and cleared of orphan blocks.

How do you activate staking on the 3.0 wallet? I have dmd coins, but the diamond in the corner is not blue? How do I make it blue? My wallet says its sync'd and everything is good, it received and sends dmd.

password protect ur wallet (encrypt)
copy a backup of ur wallet.dat  on save place  (not same PC)

restart wallet

wait until the sync bar disappear
wait 1 min longer

unlock the wallet in minting mode (tick the checkbox at unlock)

wait up to 5 min

the diamond icon bottom right should be blue
(if u have mature coins(with more than 640 confirms)

leave wallet running in this state as long as possible (ideal 24/7)
to be able find POS blocks

Great thanks! So its the clicking of the button when you unlock that does it? I didn't do that but once I did it turned blue. Is that required?
