if you're brave and you have a few minutes, you're welcome to test my distro dedicated to monero cold storage here: https://github.com/Arux-BTT/TinyMoneroCold
the iso is in release tab : https://github.com/Arux-BTT/TinyMoneroCold/releases

i like to have some feedback. if the iso is ok, i will make a real annoucement.
thanks!

This is awesome! Do you have any screenshots?

I'm just curious... does it boot into a full GUI with a web browser to load that address generator? Or is it a CLI? I can't imagine its too complicated with the iso only being 100 megs.

I look forward to trying it out.

Oooh is this based on tinycore? I love tinycore linux! I even thought about this as an application for it before.

*edit* I see in the github description that it is. Too awesome. Probably shouldnt use the gui version. Probably should just pull xwindow and a simple browser on the 11mb cli version and write a script to manually configure everything on boot. That way it will just boot into a full screen version of MoneroAddress and nothing else. Tinycore is all about application specific development and you can really take it all the way in that direction and should.

Judging from what has been said at the Shanghai conference, it should be assumed that ZCash and Ethereum plan to join forces in some way, so that the two technologies can be used as part of an integrated super-system.

Would it be a good idea if Monero forged alliances with Ethereum Classic to do the same thing? It's obvious to me that ETC is the superior blockchain due to it's political base, as opposed to the rather scammy corporate hype-machine base of ETH/ZCASH.

Another suggestion would be LISK partnering with AEON.

It seems to me that this is the direction we are headed, and it might be a good idea to think of things in this way as a form of expansionist strategy.

integrated super-system

integrated super-system = complexity = fragility

I do not know how to update monero client to latest version. So I will download the latest version.

Can I just move my wallet files from old monero client folder to this folder where is the new and latest monero client? Will the wallets be just ok?

Should post a new post about this, but can I use an existing wallet to generate Payment Id's from? Or must it be a new one? This is why I was syncing my daemon, to try and figure this out. Tongue

This partiicular error is spurious and current git master has been patched to ignore it. No idea if anything else is wrong with your DB.
